I have had a great experience in the ultrasound department. I was booked in for my scan only a few days after my GP referred me, I arrive early to my appointment and I was seen right away. Both the sonographer and the healthcare assistant were kind and reassuring and everything was explained to me in details.

Dear Mount Vernon Hospital Management Team,

I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with the service I received at your hospital's Pathology Department. my G.P. provided me with an urgent blood test form, indicating the need for immediate attention.

However, upon arrival at the hospital, I discovered that the Pathology Department was closed, despite Google listing the hospital's operating hours as 8 am to 7 pm, Saturday to Sunday, but they're working Mon to Friday

I have recently completed brachytherapy treatment (which is a very intense form of radiotherapy) at Mount Vernon Hospital. Whilst the treatment is a very difficult treatment to endure, the whole staff in the department are amazing. They did everything they could to make my stay as easy as possible, with lots of empathy and kindness, and encouragement, and anything they can provide you with (whether it's pain relief or a different type of mattress to relieve pressure for a time or just multiple cups of tea, among lots of other things!).

Iv had 2 experiences at Mount Vernon urgent care, my first was for myself before Christmas when I had a nasty arm injury after a fall. The nurse was amazing, professional and genuinely cared and told me to come back if I needed help with dressing my injury. It was brilliant.
My 2nd was yesterday, accompanying my daughter and grandson, he was in extreme pain that morning with his leg, couldn’t walk on it and was crying. My daughter rang and spoke with someone who gave him an appointment for half hour later. When we got there the pain had eased although not gone altogether. The nurse, Colette, told us it’s a good job you don’t get charged £50 when you leave - suggesting we were time wasters. I was stunned and frankly appalled. She said ‘oh the first thing you do is come to hospital is it?’ Even though her department gave us the appointment after asking questions about the pain. She did go on to give advice and suggested it was a soft tissue injury but iv just seen an earlier review whereby the little boy actually had a fracture.
My grandson is still in pain today and finding it difficult to walk.

Very pleasant experience with caring staff (admin, radiologist and nurse) who listened to us and genuinely cared about helping us. Called with a suspected knee ligament injury at 8:30am, appointment at 10am. Seen on time, efficient, felt like we were genuinely cared for, X-Ray taken, assessed. Follow up referral booked, brace provided, and left the hospital within 1.5 hours, and son back at school by lunch time. A credit to our NHS… ❤️

I came in here today 24th December for the first time due to suffering a football injury on my Finger. Upon reporting at the reception , I was served by the Helpful Maureen. She greeted me with a pleasant smile and directed me to the Urgent Care centre. The exceptional service was moved onto Andy Braggins. I genuinely am lost for words .. Andy’s service was outstanding! He reassured me and checked my finger fully. He put me forward to have an X-ray , and there I got greeted by the radiologist, she too was super kind. I never managed to grab her name. Finally the team who booked me in via the urgent care centre intercom were also super . Can’t thank you all enough for seen me , the service was rapid.

Attended early for an appointment on Saturday at the treatment centre beside.

Thought I'd spend a period of time in the chapel, which was sadly locked. Apparently patients on Saturday don't need the chapel I guess.

Phones up once for my finger as I had hurt it badly, I waited a few hours to be seen as I thought I was being dramatic. When I turned up to see the nurse she said “if it was broken you wouldn’t have left it so long so clearly it’s fine”.

Had another situation today where I have had a nasty fall and unable to move my shoulder. Once I had phoned the lady turned around to me and said I shouldn’t be phoning as it’s not an accident and emergency and I shouldn’t be asking for an xray and simple would not see me.

I have felt unwelcome twice here now and if I now have an Injury’s I simple try to move on as feel too judged to turn up!
