The most unhelpful reception staff.
Can only ever get a telephone appointment to then be told you need to book face to face.
When an app booked with doctor or nurse, having to take time out of work the app is never on time causing issues at work.

Rang gp for emergency inhaler prescription. Was told it was given to dr to sign. I then started struggling with my asthma and very anxious so went to the gp to chase it. Receptionist said it would be ‘a few hours yet’ I told her I was struggling and she replied ‘I can see that’ . I kindly told the receptionist sorry for the inconvenience but I do work in healthcare and I know a dr needs to sign it and it can go straight to pharmacy and this doesn’t need to take hours when I am really struggling. She then replied ‘ugh we always get the kick off people’ . I said I am not kicking you at all, just struggling and Iknow it only takes a minute, I am asthmatic and last time I had no inhaler I ended up in A&E with asthma attack and I’m very anxious of this. She finally got up and went to the dr to return and tell me it had already gone to pharmacy. Receptionists had no empathy whatsoever, and made out I was rude when I was very polite and am very understanding considering I am a nurse myself. Disgusted by the situation and how I was spoken to infront of people.

Say to make an appointment on the day at 8am. Telephoned the practice made me appointment at 10.20. However when I arrived they did not recognise my appointment apparently the receptionist booked it for wrong day. I am a healthcare provider myself and only had this day off.. the receptionist new this…She gave me an emergency appointment didn’t tell me what time it was. The temp outside was 0 degrees. It had been snowing.
I sat there for 2 hours and still hadn’t been seen. I went back up to the desk they replied I will be next.. I Gave them the benefit of the doubt and kept waiting…. Waiting and waiting, Then asked for the persons name whom I spoke too replied that I am not happy with the service and duty of care I should have received so I walked out. It took me all day to get warm. As It was my only day off work. It will be 10 days before I can afford to make another.. Question will same happen yet again…. I have been here for years… it is getting worse. Thinking of changing my practice now..,

I’ve been a patient for over 20 years at this practice. I’m not a frequenter I only go when absolutely necessary. Over the last 5 years the service, standards and treatment have been steadily declining. Infact they are now diabolical No one answers the phone anymore took me daily calls for 3 solid weeks before eventually getting through. I was given an appointment but had to wait another two weeks. In the interim I applied for another surgery for myself and my husband. Skip to two weeks later I arrive for my appointment only to be told the transfer went through that morning so without speaking to me (or even email if that’s too much trouble) they cancelled the appointments we had waited weeks for!… ring your new surgery being the response …. I got in my car and did just that… well what a difference within that five minute phone call that was answered straight away my husband and I were booked in for the following week working to times that suited us!….. leaving this practice was the best decision for me and my family!

Was told I will get a call back, no call back, rang surgery at 3.30pm to be told doc will ring between 4.30 and 6.30pm now 8pm no call back and I am stressed. My manager hasn't got cover as I can't provide a sick note

You won’t get an appointment despite how unwell you are or how severe your ailment is! The whole process of making an appointment is an arduous ordeal. The receptionist will tell you that there’s no appointments meaning that the doctor can only provide a telephone conversation... don’t hold your breath because you will never get a call back. Incredibly poorly run practice, I’ll be transferring to another practice, which I would recommend all others to do, if you value your health.

Ive been a patient here for 21 years and i always get an appointment. Ive read other reviews and i knw sometimes its engaged quite badly but imagine how many patients are trying to get through. I always get to see someone when i need to. I think this surgery is great and have always been brilliant with me and my family. Its a shame to read other bad reviews just due to the phone being busy and not actually regarding their care they give to their patients.
