They are a Surgery that will ring you up to tell you your appointment has been cancelled (see screenshot of call at 8:53 lasting less than 2 minutes) "due to staff sickness." Then note on your NHS record that you "Did not attend" the session. To make matters worse they wont remove misinformation like such from their records swiftly.

After explaining to multiple members of the practice staff I have had issues obtaining an appropriate appointment. (It took me over three months to get a face to face female appointment. I received a "Final response" email refusing again to help me access their surgery doctors appointments, whilst simultaneously stating. "Ultimately, you have a responsibility for your own healthcare." Yet I am telling them I cannot access my healthcare service which is THEM!

Their overall response to me asking for "reasonable adjustments" under the equality act 2010 was "the Practice cannot give you the adjustment that you want, to look into registering elsewhere."

Then finally finishing off the email telling me if I do not accept this email as their final response that they will not be assisting me further into being able to access my NHS healthcare with:
"We now consider this matter as closed, however if you cannot accept this the Practice will unfortunately have to look at applying to have you removed from our Practice list, deemed under a breakdown between the patient and GP."

I am no longer a patient with Millwood and was too fearful of what might happen if I had submitted this review before I had been accepted at my new surgery. I wouldn't recommend this surgery. However if you are neurodivergent and are already registered at Millwood I would recommend Dr Helen McCall.

Amazing GPs found everyone to be extremely helpful and friendly. All my appointments were same day and referrals made to hospital on the appointments came through quickly.

I feel the online form to request an appointment is purposely difficult, if you fill in the wrong section, you just get fobbed off until you try again tomorrow. Cant even call for an appointment now, just force you to use their not clear, shoddy online form.

Useless system of trying to get an appointment, constantly remove your life medication for reviews, have had to go to hospital just too see someone, they are uncaring and cant be bothered to tend to patients. Shame as the doctors are nice when you finally get too see one. I think the issue is with the receptionists they are not friendly or welcoming and have zero care or compassion. Also the nurses seem abrupt vis email and dont seem too care either. They really need someone higher up checking on this practise, its an embarrassment to the NHS

The care you receive once you have managed to see a clinician is very good on the whole. However, the surgery is clearly struggling to cope managing patient numbers. The appointment booking procedure is not fit for purpose and incredibly frustrating when all appointments for the day are full by 0810am and no option to speak to a doctor or nurse after that time for the rest of the day. As a patient I feel the frontline staff often less than helpful and don't actually listen to patients' concerns. And don't expect a reply to any comments and questions you make on their website! Make sure you take the name of anyone you speak to as they may refuse to repeat it later in the conversation. This happened to me and I was the one accused if being verbally aggressive according to my notes!!

I witnessed an elderly lady trying to book in for her blood test. The receptionist told her very bluntly that she was 10 minutes late, and could`nt be seen. The poor lady, who was very distressed tried to explain that her taxi was late and there were roadworks, and the taxi cost her £9 each way.. but the receptionist had no empathy or sympathy and sent her away and told her to make another appointment. Disgraceful..

Reason for my 3 star, is it so hard to get a doctors appointment or any help with communication. They want you to book on there website. Which is hard it doesn't give you a gp appointment option you click other and it go's to a nurse and you get a inbox saying you booked the wrong one. I don't understand why we can't just use the nhs app to book appointments so much easier. I was mislead and told they use all the nhs stuff and they don't . That was the only reason I joined for the nhs app. They don't seem to answer calls either if I can attach my call log you see. It's frustrating trying to get through. If they allowed messages on the nhs I could attach my results I got privately too. It's frustrating how the system works . Not sure why they don't just use the nhs for everything instead of two separate sites . I still don't have all my nhs app document either on there I've asked loads of times but they don't seem to understand all they do is reset my nhs account. I know by law when you request all your medical history on there there suppose to do it but they just ignore me or not understand.

It took me since January 2024 to may 2024 to get my very first doctors appointment. And it did go well the doctor was so kind caring understanding didn't dismiss me let me speak . Think it was Dr j Hammond I think.

If they fixed the booking system and used the nhs for all access. And knew how to upload my medical history like I've requested then it get a 5 star review
