I love this place. It has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. There is a sense of calm about the place. The interior of the building is full of character with low beams and mighty oak doors mixed in with modern comforts.

Jane, the proprietor, is friendly and great to chat to as are all the ladies who help her run the Retreat.

I've been here twice with my Writers Group and I hope to return again.

We are a group of 4 families (8 adults & 8 kids). We stayed here in December for three nights. The house is lovely and very spacious. It is full of special furniture and decorated very tastefully. Garden is also very pretty. It is very well equipped and everything worked perfectly well during our stay. Kids played hide and seek most of their time as the house is very big with plenty of hiding spots. It is located in a rural location and has beautiful walks around it. The hosts are very polite and accommodating. They were available for us for any question and always answered in a short time, detail and with good will. They kindly allowed us a late checkout and made the whole experience very comfortable for us. Overall the stay in this house was the highlight of our break and i highly recommend it to others.

A brilliant place to stay offering a tranquil place of quiet and peace. It has a generous orthodoxy but run by a small Christian Community, the hospitality is remarkable, a space where you can exhale life's concerns and business, and breath in a spirit deep refreshment and peace. Day visits or overnights, groups and individuals.

What a fantastic place, so serene and peaceful. Spent my day out in the beautiful gardens and went for a walk down to the village and the Tivvy canal. Lunch was lovely with all diets catered for, thank you Mill House I hope to return.

Truly a relaxing place with great hospitality from the ladies that run the place. Nothing was too big for them and they did all their best to accommodate my needs.

You can choose full board or none. I went for the former - Food was homecooked and in many cases homemade, You can either sit alone or dine with others (at a social distance) and they have a 7 acres garden where you can sit outside and read.

Oh, and in doors, there's a library room for lounging, watching tv and of course well stocked with different books on various subjects on Christianity from past and present. Handy for developing your spritual life.

The place is throughly clean and in line with Covid regulations and to maintain social distancing, you are allocated your own little area for resting and reading which i found nice.

And as for noise, that was the beauty of it, so quiet that i had no need for earplugs (which i wear as a light sleeper)

All in all, i highly recommend this place as its good value for money and you will leave feeling refreshed!
