The new system was so much better
No racing to get online at precise time only to be told no available appointments. No hanging in telephone queue for ages. Easy and simple to use. Receptionist who phoned me was pleasant and polite and best of all I was able to see my Doctor on the same day.

It's a joke! I got a text message that doctor wants to see me and to book appointment. When I called I was told to call at 8 AM. I called at 8 today, I was 4th in line. Receptionist told me that she will transfer me to telephone patches system because she can't book me herself. Once I was transfered, patches system informed me that there are no slots available and to call reception and my call was terminated! Are patients idiots to you?! Terrible surgery!

With busy waiting rooms & long waits to see a doctor at times, it is rare to find a doctor like I experienced. She was caring, supportive, attentive and genuinely wanted to help. She took time to explain things to me. She also shared her knowledge on my specific topic and did all she could to reassure me. I felt genuinely better after my two consultations with her. Her bedside manner made all the difference. This is what you want when you’re feeling ill or concerned about your health and she delivered 110%. Thank you VERY much doctor. I won’t put your name other wise you will be over booked constantly!!

DO NOT COME HERE. Dermatology service is shocking, you will not be listened to or even examined adequately. Dr Alexander Berg discharged me before even seeing me in person and I had to wait for yet another referral before even being seen. He also completely disregards everything I say to him in my appointments and didn't even look at my skin until about 3 appointments in. When I tried to explain how these symptoms are effecting my life I was met with his response 'I am a good doctor'. My Grandmother and Mother are both witnesses to his negligence. This has ruined my life. My condition has been left to worsen and now affects my mobility. Because of the lack of care here, I lost my job and my place at university and am still no closer to getting better, to the point where I have had to access the crisis mental health team multiple times, this neglect of care has ruined my life and I am now suicidal. They should be shut down and he shouldn't be allowed to see patients, he only make it worse and I now am looking into taking legal action.

The dermatology service is awful.
I was 9 minutes late and refused to be seen. They were running an hour behind schedule anyway.
I took the day off work, travelled an hour and a half for the appointment. The nurse was so rude staying “no you’re late, rebook” without even looking at me.

My appointment with them was cancelled last week, so I had to get another blood test as it had expired. Absolute waste of resources and my time.

There are so many poor reviews of this health centre I thought I would share my own experience. The centre is a bit difficult location wise for me to get to, and little information is given in the appointment text in terms of what to expect, though my appointment was booked very quickly. I got an uber as it didn’t look like there was much parking nearby and the alternative was a bus journey with 2 changes. I didn’t realise dermatology patients are not booked in on arrival. This is slightly confusing and it really means that you need to arrive in advance of your appointment time to ensure you are seen. The reception staff were friendly and helpfully explained this, and I would be called in by the dermatology team. The waiting room is large and modern though a bit austere and somewhat chilly. I was seen maybe 10 or 15 mins later than my appointment time which I thought was fine as the NHS system is under such pressure . The nurse and dermatologist I saw were both friendly and reassuring. They listened, answered my questions and explained what happens next. The consulting rooms are modern, well lit and clean. The camera equipment does seem a bit outdated as other reviewers have noted. All things considered, my experience was positive.

Terrible telephone service. Waited over 70 minutes (41st in line when I called exactly at 8:00am) to hear that there is no chance for appointment. I asked for appointment next day - no way! Call again tomorrow. I tried PATCHES then. Patches opened exactly at 7:30am and closed at 7:31am. It didn’t even give me a chance to write my request. It’s a joke! Dean House Surgery was a really good GP, now after they merged with Curzon and Green Street and became Alma Healthcare they are terrible. It reminds me of big corpo full of heartless robots. Shame! I’m thinking about changing GP, Riley-Moorfield is closer to my place, but they also have terrible feedback. Is there still any good GP in Enfield or Ponders End? Did all of them turn in robots operated corpos, not caring for patients? It’s so disappointing…

I read all these terrible reviews and want to share my own experience. I was seen on time, in fact they called me up beforehand to offer me an earlier slot. The receptionists were lovely and the person I saw for my dermatology appointment was really polite and listened to everything I had to say. The equipment they're given to take photos looks like a decade old so I'd suggest if you have a smart phone from the last few years, take your own photos instead.

With dermatology patients not having to sign in it does mean if you're late you're likely to miss your appointment. The phone number from the NHS text didn't go through to anything but that's just the current state of the NHS rather than specific to this location.
