If I could give less than one star, I would.

I’m absolutely fed up with the way this surgery operates. Before it became 'Meon Health Practice', it already had issues but it’s gone from bad to worse. I’ve experienced it myself and seen others go through it too, trying to get an appointment of any kind feels like an impossible task.

The receptionists come across more like gatekeepers than people who are there to help. I’ve been told that my ongoing health concerns which are seriously affecting me mentally, physically, and financially aren’t ā€œurgent enoughā€ to even be triaged. I’m directed to use the ā€˜Anima’ system (which crashes frequently) between 11am Monday to Wednesday, only to wait up to two weeks or more for an appointment. And because you’ve used that route, any sense of urgency seems to disappear entirely because to consent to the wait (but if you don't do this you can't submit your request for an appointment).

Even if you do get triaged (which feels like a lottery), there’s no guarantee you’ll actually be seen or even hear back. On multiple occasions, I’ve waited anxiously all day for a call that never comes. When I call the surgery to follow up, I’m told ā€œsomeone will callā€... and still, no one does.

I’ve been battling serious health issues since September 2024, and I still don’t have any real answers. In all that time, I can count on one hand how many times I’ve actually seen a GP in person or even managed to speak to one on the phone. And when I do get through, the appointments feel rushed, impersonal, and I’m left feeling unheard and dismissed.

If I could afford to go private, I would. If I believed another surgery would treat me better, I’d switch in a heartbeat. I know issues like this are becoming far too common in GP practices, but somehow, this one seems to stand out for all the wrong reasons. Ironically, they keep sending out surveys asking for feedback as if they’re genuinely listening. But honestly, it feels like a box-ticking exercise, not a real effort to make things better.

I’m 25 and feel like someone twice my age writing this review but that’s how worn down and angry this whole experience has made me feel. The way this surgery treats its patients is not acceptable, and I’m not okay with it.

Approach with caution.

Yesterday , Friday around midday , I phoned the surgery and spoke to the receptionist, she couldn't have done more for me , we kind and understanding and my details were passed to the GP and within the hour a prescription was presented to the chemist for me.
Who ever she was , thank you for showing me dignity and respect, your efforts were above and beyond and I am very much appreciated fir your kind support.

Excellent care again recently. The surgery had taken care of me with routine blood tests anyway. However a couple of weeks ago I was in great difficulty with mental health crisis . A receptionist was wonderfully kind and helpful and my regular GP called me back within a hour and as always was kind , helpful and reassuring over the issues at hand . My Excellent GP also followed up with a check in call a week later and always reassuring I could call back whenever I needed too .
Really great person centred and needs led care and treatment as always .
Many thanks
John

Have been registered at this surgery for over 3 years and in that time have had several appointments but not once with an actual doctor ! If you're lucky enough to be granted a face to face appointment the best you can hope for is an advanced nurse practitioner. Usually you won't get past the receptionist who will ask you a hundred very personal questions and then give you her personal opinion on how to treat the problem. Forget any chance of talking to someone who is medically qualified ! The way they do things at this surgery is absolutely ridiculous.

I recently contacted the surgery to get my son checked for tonsillitis, a recurring issue he has faced about 14 times. Unfortunately, the doctors often dismiss his condition, claiming he is fine, or we struggle to secure an appointment. The reception staff can be quite unhelpful, making it difficult to reach someone for a consultation. They tend to direct us to the pharmacist, but since my son has this issue so frequently, the pharmacist won't prescribe antibiotics. This time, I was fortunate enough to speak with Lauren from the urgent care team, and she was exceptional. She addressed my questions thoroughly and provided valuable advice that I hadn’t received previously. Her friendliness and willingness to schedule a follow-up appointment made a significant difference. It’s clear that more staff at the surgery should embody the same helpful and positive attitude that Lauren demonstrated. Thank you, Lauren, for your outstanding support!

Big shout out to Simone the nurse practitioner who assisted with my husbands health issue. The service was excellent from phoning in the morning (number 17 in the queue so used the callback service) to receiving a same day appointment.
Really appreciate the efforts made by the team, very grateful we still have an NHS.

This is a really bad GP practice. I have been trying to get an appointment for a long time. There is no way to get a routine appointment that is not urgent until 11am. The Anima app never works and i am always on there at exactly 11am refreshing the app. I am just really frustrated with this GP.

They have yet to fix the rear door at the time of my most recent visit, making this place inaccessible when the door isnt held. Its not an easy door to wrestle open in a wheelchair. Prime example of how I feel I am treated by Meon.
