I have had an appointment this morning at Meadows Health Centre and I was seen by Dr Jadoon. I would like to express my gratitude to the whole practice and Dr Jadoon herself. I was given the same day appointment by the fantastic staff at the reception. The appointment with Dr Jadoon was exceptional, she is a fantastic professional who listened to my concerns, was very attentive and took my worries very seriously. Dr Jadoon was professional, polite and I feel she genuinely cared about me and my health concerns.
I really don't know where all those negative comments come from, but I think having respect to your healthace professionals, their time and effort, seing a human in yoir GP, rather than only someone who supposed to serve you, and treating them the same way we would like to be treated will result in in good experience and overall fantastic care and treatment received.
Thank you Dr Jadoon and the whole amazing Meadows Health Centre team ❤️

Best GP surgery I've ever had.
I've ended up at the doctor's quite a few times this past year and every time have had a very prompt and positive service. Every time I've called I've received a same day appointment. All 3 GPs I've seen (Dr Mir, Dr George, and Dr Jadoon) have been very understanding and good at listening. They have been quick to diagnose and prescribe and I've always received the treatment needed on the same day.
The reception staff, in my experience, have also been friendly and polite, and good at their job.
Convenient location for anyone in the Meadows and right near the pharmacy too.

This is probably the best surgery in Nottingham. Staff are amazing and always helpful… in particular Justyna (she always gets things sorted promptly and professionally). There are no long waiting queues when you call them and the GPs at this surgery are great and very caring. You won’t regret joining this GP surgery.

Dr Mir is great, I can't fault him but unfortunately that doesn't make up for the fact that this surgery is terrible. Receptionists (apart from Justina) are all very rude gatekeepers who make it very difficult to get an appointment. Usually waiting 4-6 weeks which is not good enough. I called this morning as I had coughed up some blood and was worried, the receptionist said "we've got no appointments, call 111 or go to the walk in clinic." Really not great help for someone who is experiencing a scary and potentially dangerous health concern. She didn't offer me an appointment for another day or a phone appointment, just wanted me off the phone. Will be looking up how to complain formally about this treatment and keep my fingers crossed it's nothing serious.

I have had a cough longer then 4 weeks with a chest infection , all my family have had the same situation and had been treated with antibiotics.
Dr refuse to treat me saying it will go away giving me excuses clearly knowing I’m last to be treated in the family and expressing to her I have 2 end of life family members and I’m at risk being around them.
Terrible surgery

This practice gets worse, I have never experienced such rude front house staff in my life, I work in retail and would loose my job if I spoke to my clients the way the reception staff speak to patients on top after receiving a message of my appointment to turn up and to be told I had MISSED my appointment which I have NEVER missed any appointments, may I make a suggestion that you give your front house staff TRAINING on how to communicate with people without eye rolling and basically a BAD ATTITUDE.

My daughter went today to the dentist at the back was really impressed they made her feel so welcome and explained everything. She has severe dental anxiety and they took the time to reassure her and make her smile and laugh. And really tried to save what they could and was so friendly Including reception. The best dentist I've ever seen forever thankful.

Overall one of the best GPs I've had.

The pros
- Dr Oakley is friendly, professional and offers some fantastic advice. As are many of the other GPs
- the practice deal with serious issues promptly and I've had same day appointments
- decent mental health support (imo the NHS as a whole is lacking) good access to advice and medication

The cons
- I've had one decent and one poor experience with Dr Jadoon where she has been rather abrupt
- routine appointments are often better to book online rather than over the phone
