I moved to this surgery over a year ago from another local surgery as I had problems there. Although this is a very small practice, I have had nothing but possitive experiences. Overall, the receptionists are friendly and helpful and every doctor I have seen has made me feel heard and helped me and my children. Everything single Dr I have seen has been great.

Practice is ok, however terrible location and totally useless staff. The GP’s I’ve seen definitely need training on customer service as there bedside manner is disgusting ans they always seem to be in a rush to get a person out of the practice.

Please, please if you have children DO NOT sign up here. I have dealt with absolute gross negligence for the past year, being lied to, run round in circles and given misinformation by doctors. My baby has suffered for nearly 9 months now, being referred to service after service with no outcome.

My husband had the same issue - a doctor that no longer works there basically told him he might have Leukaemia and when this was referred to a Haematologist, they sent it back saying everything is absolutely fine! Imagine the distress this caused us all.

The receptionists give you different information depending on what day you call and who you speak to.
The secretary is always either on holiday or off sick (according to the receptionists). A referral that was rejected and sent back to the GP nearly two months ago just sat there while I had absolutely no clue.

I could go on and on, the only reason I stayed here because it's a stone's throw away from me. If this is you, with all my heart I urge you to just travel a little further and save yourself the frustration, anger and tears.

The ONLY person that I have dealt with that is nice is the nurse who does kids vaccinations, smear tests etc. The one star is solely for her.

I would like share that I visited Maynard Court surgery today 06/06/25 and the receptionist was so helpful and lovely. I observed this to not be just towards me but she was very pleasant to another patient on the phone when having to decline the request of a specific appointment time.

I know sometimes people can be quick to complain so wanted to share some positive feedback as I think it’s important.

Came across other people's reviews whilst looking up email address for surgery online, and felt compelled to contribute. I can only report my experience, myself and my family having been patients for many years. I have always been treated with the utmost courtesy by whichever member of the reception team has been on duty. I have been impressed by the professionalism and compassion of the doctors. They have always taken our concerns seriously and gone above and beyond in seeking resolution. I think sometimes only the bad experiences provoke reviews, and whilst I have the utmost sympathy, I hope this gives some balance. For my part, I am beyond satisfied with this practice and appreciative of all their hard work.

Just called the surgery to book a appointment with the diabetic nurse, to be told that her appointment books are not open so can not make a appointment until June, then asked to make a appointment with a doctor as I need to be seen about my medication, to be told there are no bookable appointments until the 19th May, surely do not take on so many patients if you can’t cope,

Surgery itself is good and always felt well treated from all accept one Dr. I always was avoiding him if I can but today I needed to be seen as feever and coughing was coming back 2 days after I completed course of antibiotics. I was so bad treated and he was underminding his colleagues diagnoses. I still cannot breath but rather stay home then go again. Never felt so bad. I left in tears. I was wondering how is possible to be a doctor and have no humanity. Interapt me each second I trying to explanation way I am there. Exray offerd like a bet that I am fine and if I am not to go see HIM again. This was already after I was humiliated as faking condition. Shame on the profession! Even if I have just left discomfort and no infection its other way to comfort patient not humiliation. I just had surgery and this infection is complication. I struggle with healing because of it. It was just stressful enough for me. Last thing I needed was shor t and angry man to support his ego on me.
