Therapy can be a daunting experience, especially as a young person who feels lumped into the box of ‘just another troubled teen’. From my first session with Matt I not only felt like somebody was just hearing my words, I felt listened to and validated, that itself made a big difference going forward with my treatment. Matt deals with a wide array of issues, and operates from a place of no judgment which makes you feel comfortable enough to bring anything to the table. After 4 1/2 years of therapy with Matt, I can say he has given me a different, much more personalised experience of the therapy I was once accustomed to, one that makes me look forward to the safe space that is our weekly sessions.

By the time I went for counselling with Matt, I had struggled with alcoholism for all of my adult life and found myself in a particularly dark place where I felt hopeless, isolated and alone with my addiction. Matt believed in me and helped me to navigate recovery with a sense that someone was by my side and I didn't have to go it alone. Matthew has been my therapist coming on one year now. he really has helped me understand my addiction, that I am the problem and substances were a temporary solution. Matthew has a way of making me feel comfortable getting vulnerable, he makes me feel safe to share whatever is going on for me, and always seems to have a knack of guiding me to possible root cause of things without telling me....it's like he let's me discover it for myself, he just guides me. matt has really counselled me into a better place in my life, helped me discover some semblance of self, and that me, as I am, is enough. I can't thank matt enough, real qaulity therapist. would highly recommend him to anybody, addict or not! thanks matt!!
