Awful experience. After missing a diagnosis with my daughter, I tried to get a go apt for myself & gove another chance. Booked a tel apt, waited 2 weeks, no call & was told dr was running 2 hours late, so waited another 2 weeks for a face to face, firstly the doctor didn’t have correct records up, then told useless info to contact the consultant I was previously under myself which I had already advised I had tried to call their secretary and hence the reason I felt a re referral or gp letter would and should be done as I was informed I had come off the list since Covid. Email them she advised. Just couldn’t be bothered it seems.

Receptionist is rude they always questioning me about being housebound I suffer mental health they are not health care professionals and have no right to tell me or question me on if I am housebound or not always seems like a argument to order my medication over the phone unfortunately I now dread ringing the doctors for the medication I need 😢 the receptionists need retraining or firing! Doctors are helpful and amazing reception staff lets the practice down for unfortunately I will be mentioning this to my doctor 👍

No issues. Quite surprised about the reviews I've been at another local docs for past year and Marton have done more to help in one month than the whole year with my previous.

I can't fault them. Would recommend.

I've seen the physio and Dr Nazarath for ongoing thoracic back issue and genuinely had a great service. Not had an issue with a single part of this surgery. If you are moving to the area. I'd recommend.

I have tried to book an appointment for my newborn son on daytime, they said I need to call at 8 am because the appointment line is open from 8 am to 6 pm. We had a hard night with the baby, and we were on the feeding at 8. I called them 8.45 after the feed, because I didn't want him to cry all over the phone... Receptionist was extremly roude and I didn't received any little help, and she said if I don't like the system, I can take him to the walkin centre... So it means if I don't call exactly 8am, they cant serve... WELL DONE

Quick to get through to this morning at 8.10. Offered an appointment for the same day. Receptionist was friendly enough. Not had a bad experience

I use to always have a decent experience with Marton but I feel like the service has plummeted in the last year.

Firstly, I mean this politely, I've never had a pleasant experience with the older woman with the dark hair on reception. Not once. Always rude, impersonal and condescending without any reason.

Secondly, it's become impossible to see a doctor. Some issues need to be dealt with by a doctor, and need to be addressed in good time. I can't wait 2 weeks to see a nurse, to wait another 3 weeks to see a doctor to get a referral to the department in the hospital I actually need to be seen by.

111 and the walk-in center are not substitutes for your GP, in fact they will tell you to go back to your GP for ongoing issues like this no matter what the severity.

Your GP is your gateway to accessing further non-emergency care, and Marton medical are falling short of this. Wether you call at 8am or go on the app, seeing a doctor is nearly impossible now.

I don't know if they're failing to staff correctly or otherwise, but there is without question a need for improvement.

Avoid at all costs. Inefficient, no empathy, serious condition assured had been referred only to find it had been completely ignored.

The walk in centre is not the GP practice, you would be better to go there

Great facility credit to the community and a great team running it,
Update
doctors may not be up to speed yet.
But you can’t fault the behind the scenes nurses and workers.
Diabetic team ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.And I am a moaner.

Still alive so the Marton must be doing something right.Diabetic Team still doing a great job.
Got myself on the patient group, and they do listen to our concerns. And the group don’t hold back.
2.5review does not do the practice justice.Don’t judge the practice with the walk-in.
Of course I will keep on moaning it’s therapeutic.
Parking next.
