I am new to this surgery and I recently had the pleasure of interacting with Lisa, the receptionist at this doctor’s surgery, and I felt compelled to share just how wonderful she is. From the moment you walk in, Lisa’s warm smile and genuine kindness set the tone for the entire visit.

Whether it’s greeting you with a friendly hello, handling appointments with ease, or addressing any questions with care, Lisa has a way of making everyone feel valued. She goes above and beyond, remembering details that make each visit feel personalised and special.

Thank you Lisa!

What a disaster of a place .Your told to ring at 8 oclock to get an appointment to be told after waiting for them to answer after 20 or 30 minutes there are no appointments left .you could be dead for all they care .If you are lucky enough to get a phone call from one of the doctors when you are at deaths door to be asked can you come to the surgery .whats thw piont in haveing an appointment sytem if you can never get one .since covid things have got worse the Doctors want more money but don't want to do the work .what happened to one on one and the doctors getting to know their patients .when yo do eventually get to see a doctor they haven't got a clue i wouldn' t let this motly crew treat a flea they are beyond useless .As for the receptionists who are they to ask about your private things with your Doctor and they take it upon them selves to decide wheather you should see the Doctor or not who put them in charge .Don't even get me started on haveing a blood test don't think they are trained at all they are spiteful there is no need to hurt a patient and leave bruses but they do .what are the training days for? Is it to know how not to answer the phone and be rude to patients .like i said wouldnt let them treat a flea .

Always been able to get an appointment in a reasonable timeframe. Never had a problem with cancellations and have always felt like my issues have been dealt with promptly and in a caring manner. I am grateful to live in a village that has such a great surgery and amazing staff that work there.

Genuinely one of the best GPs I’ve been to - you can usually get an appointment quickly, the nurses and healthcare assistants are always super friendly, the receptionists are too, and the drs listen and take on board your concerns and problems. I’ve had 2 fast urgent referrals to the hospital too which has been really helpful!

I sympathise with all NHS medical Dr's and nurses (not admin' staff), including GP's. However, the service provided by the MMC is and was before Covid, very poor.
It is almost impossible to see a Dr. You call and are told that no appointments are available and to call again at 8am the next day. when you do that, you may have to call at least 10 times to be answered, if at all. if you are answered a seemingley untrained receptionist asks you why you want to see a Dr, which mostly results in a telephone call within an hour or so. on a number of occasions, when I eventually got through, sometimes 5 mins or so after 8am, I was told that the telephone appointments were all "gone" and to call again the next day at 8am.
Some of the receptionists are very good and some are very poor, unhelpfull and rude/questioning as to the severity of my medical issue. They would never survive in customer services in commerce.
When the Dr calls you, they seem to have little empathy and want to terminate the call asap. I my experience, the response is normally (not always to be fair) to prescribe a medication or to "see how it is in a week or so and if it still persists to call again" . Great service!
If I ask for an additional script' as I have run out or want one urgently, I sometimes ( not always) the receptionists (not all), say "I will ask the Dr and see what he says but try not to do it again"!!!
Almost every month, my repeat prescriptions have a problem, with an item or more not dispensed, particuarly if a consultant has prescribed a medication and has writen to the MMC: most are ignored and I have to call to have it prescribed.
The pharmacy next door is no better. They frequently have "no stock" of medications: like almost every month. (why are we restricted to a month's supply only?) Also after 3 working days (why does it take that much time when I can get items the next day from Amazon?) I have to wait 20 mins or so to collect it?
Sometimes the queue is outside of the door with only one person on the front desk.
Also, I get 6 copies of my monthly prescription, one to use and 5 to throw away. I have mentioned this to the pharmacy who told me to take this up with the surgery: I did, but still the same.
If anyone from the MMC wants to discuss this with me, please call.
I apologise for any spelling errors but the website is very basic and does not have spellcheck.
