I went to the A&E department for second time in four days with my daughter.
I cannot fault the nurses they were kind, knowledgeable, willing to help etc
It's a shame that the doctor we've had at Riverside couldn't even have the minimum care or charisma or professionalism that the job required.
I did ask if he was going to actually do something about my daughter's breathing problem and he said NO. Apparently breathing it's not urgent or vital.

Was really impressed by this hospital today. Specifically the Peggy Wood Breast Care Center. All of the staff were fantastic, we were seen quickly and efficiently between different areas. We arrived early and were seen almost immediately and out in an hour. The hospital was clean and bright. Lots of building work going on but the hospital was clean and tidy and quiet. Fantastic.

The Second Best Hospital in The UK behind Tunbridge Wells. Staff are So Welcoming and So Friendly. Food is Top Notch. First Class Catering. It's a million times better and more nicer than Manchester Royal Infirmary.

Great doctors and nurses who have been taking great care of a family member today (Thank you!). It would have been a 5* but unfortunately the obnoxious receptionist working on the a&e reception this evening was quite rude as I appeared to have interrupted her gossiping with her fellow receptionists.

My partner and I were attending an oncology appointment at Maidstone hospital recently and had to drive from the London area to this hospital. Phone sat nav wasn't working so we had to rely on sign posting. Firstly there is no sign post on the M20 to direct you to the hospital. We missed the junction and had to call the hospital for information after travelling up and down the motorway several times. Then when we were in the road which the hospital is on there was no sign indicating the turning into the hospital grounds. We passed the entrance and ended up in a huge traffic queue by some traffic lights. It was only on turning round to drive back down the road that we found the entrance, which has a sign facing the other direction. Where the sign from the M20 direction should be is a rusty frame. We were 45 minutes late for our appointment and very distressed by this unnecessary complication to our journey. Just put up a visible sign! It's not too much to ask for a public service building to be clearly signposted.

Attended Maidstone Hospital major A&E brought by ambulance with a close relative who had symptoms of sepsis following chemotherapy. Unfortunately the nurse in charge in Majors A&E treated us and the ambulance crew, who brought us in, absolutely appalling.
My relative was complaining amongst others at some point of discomfort and headache due to the brightness of the light on top of his bed. The nurse in charge said they will not reduce the brightness of the light. An hour and a half later another nurse came to me and told me where I can find the light switch to turn it off.
They did, to an extent, do their job by taking bloods and giving him some medication but with no curtesy, laking any communication skills and empathy. As my relative had IV fluids he needed to go to the loo. I asked for a paper bottle as he was bed bound and was told they will deal with this in a few minutes. 40 minutes later they still didn’t come back to us so I asked another nurse to help us by providing a bottle.
After a few hours an A&E doctor came to see him, beeing summoned by a nurse named Molamma as despite all the medication my relative was quite shivery and still vomiting and feeling sick.
We could not get the A&E doctor’s name, as he spoke very fast and with a dismissive attitude similar to the nurse in charge G. He said that my relative will be admitted in the hospital as there is “an infection somewhere in the body” but must likely they will not find the source of it. He superficially examined my relative’s tummy and listened to the chest with the stetoscop through the clothes. When we asked him about the blood test results he said he looked at them but he did not know them from the top of his head. He told us my relative will be admitted by medics and left without even greeting us.
Very poor experience!
I really hope someone will look into this and do something about these poor behaviours from certain health care professionals.

I was at the Maidstone hospital today via A&E. Not that a hospital visit can be described as a pleasure, but all the staff I was in contact with, from Triage to porters to hospitality were lovely.
Sammie (Sammy?) who dealt with me finally was extremely professional and thorough and very personable. A real credit to the facility. But with all due respect, I hope to never see you all again

I recently broke my ankle - a bimalleolar fracture - and the only reason that I haven't needed surgery on it is that the two doctors in A and E resuscitation did such and amazing job resetting/reducing the fracture. I cannot recall their names but I am so grateful to them for the fantastic job they did. This happened on the afternoon/evening of 18th August. My heartfelt thanks to the whole team, nurses and doctors, who supported me that evening/night. I hope they read this review because they deserve a medal. The fracture is stable and I am able to fly back home to Spain next week.
