I am undergoing radio therapy at the Churchill. Two days running the machine V4 ,went down and there was a 90+ minute delay. The seats in Radiotherapy can feel hard after a while. So,I popped into Maggies to sit on their comfortable seats I was made most welcome, and was able to find a quiet corner and listen to my recorded Hancocks Half Hour. The staff were excellent and listened to me and helped alleviate some anxieties, that I had I would highly recommend this place to chill, between Radiotherapy sessions.

Fantastic! Warm and welcoming atmosphere and a nice cuppa and kind words.
However understanding and friendly NHS staff can be, they are under pressure and their priority is the technical side of health care. Maggie's offers a more pastoral care, a smiling face and when you need it, a shoulder to cry on.
My cancer seems under control but these amazing people still keep a weclome.

It is 8 years since I first went to Maggies with my husband who had cancer. The support, unconditional kindness & help were invaluable & the centre is a magnificent, inspirational facility in Oxford which we are so fortunate to have. We took part in Mindfullness, Cookery demonstrations/Nutrition, Relaxation, Benefits Advice, used the Library & always knew there was a listening ear if we had need. But they offered so much more... I cannot praise the staff & the Centre enough. Thank you Maggies.

A most welcoming environment, the staff are very friendly with an aura of understanding and helpfulness. The building oozes relaxation and there are a variety of pastimes which maximise this potential. Living with cancer can be isolating, at Maggies it hard to feel alone. If you have. Cancer pop in and taste the flavour, the cakes are delightful.
