Oh behalf of Suffolk Sight we wanted to thank all of the team at Magdalen House Care Home.

We held an advice drop-in session and they were perfect hosts, allowing us to invite the local community to come along, and also fundraising for us too.

Our social club also meet once a month in the lovely room and the refreshments are provided, which makes such a difference to our small independent charity.

When my mother and my step father were first living there the management and staff were very nice and helpful, but as time goes on my step father, who has dementia, has been looked after extremely well, whilst my mother's care has diminished greatly. We are in the process of finding somewhere else for her to live so she can be happy for the end years of her life.
I am however totally disgusted that during these hard times, families have not been informed that "multiple" staff members have tested positive for coronavirus. I only found out when we called to tell staff we would like to do a window visit and they informed me this was not possible as all residents were confined to their rooms.
My complaint? Why were we not informed.

It's a standard sized care home in the centre of Hadleigh.
Rooms are fair sized, clean and tidy.
There is a central courtyard to sit in when the weather permits, a large day lounge and dining room.
Staff are reasonably friendly.
