Spoke with a realy lovely receptionist today who put my mind at ease and booked me an appointment. I have been a patient here for many years and I'm generally very happy with the service, especially the asthma nurses. The waiting room could do with cheering up a bit though!

told me i had whooping cough when i didn't, i then got pneumonia because i was being treated for the wrong thing. Never even prescribed me an inhaler even though i begged them for it because i couldn’t breathe. I ended up majorly ill for six months unable to work because i was vomiting coughing and passing out 24/7 and they refused to write me a sicknote without me going for another appointment that they then cancelled/rearranged multiple times. Rubbish practice.

Staff here are just so unhelpful and inconsiderate all they do is blindly following procedures almost feels like speaking to Chat GPT or other AI that’s literally what’s the reception like.

Longford Street & Fearnhead surgeries are both the same evil thing. Can't believe how can they disregard very unwell patients. I still have a chest infection (now for 10 days) because I was refused every appointment with severe short of breath and cough. They also cancelled the appointment made by 111. They only booked an appointment 6 miles away after my British friend rang them, and there I was prescribed another antibiotics but it was too late and I had to go to A&E next morning again as I couldn't breath. I was assisted twice by A&E because they refused me assistance.
I have a severe eye disability and they have been doing the best they can to turn my live even harder. They messed up with my eye medication as well, not responding to the query sent by the pharmacy and sending the wrong prescription twice. They are totally useless, rude and careless. That is not a GP, that's a business, they exist for profit only. They are a true shame for NHS. I only wish they shut down and get what they deserve.

My Girlfriend who is registered at this gp was misdiagnosed with authoritis and almost had a life changing surgery for the completely wrong thing. Now that she has the correct diagnosis from a diffrent medical centre, this GP is trying to charge £38 for a copy of the diagnosis. So my girlfriend who has been put through hell by this GP needs to pay. She needs the diagnosis sheet to update her pip claim and get access to the lifts at college. It's outrageous. To anyone considering this gp just because its local, if you value you life dont go here.

Girlfriend is totally blind in one eye and partially in the other eye, receptionist kept interrupting her as she was trying to explain this she can't go to Widnes Wigan or Leigh but receptionist kept cutting in saying it's not a emergency it's not a emergency as she was trying to explain she can't travel, I think it's not for the receptionist to say what's a emergency or not as it's different situation for each person,
At 8am it said there is no medical patches.
And that's the response,
My girlfriend is really hard of breathing after having antibiotics for a week and just need another course of antibiotics
But instead told to go to walk in centre even tho she is a vulnerable person, receptionist was so unprofessional and rude.

Doctors here are extremely difficult to trust & communicate with. Have a whole list of reasons to why the doctors here are most unreasonable attitudes or just non caring attitude! Prob needs all making public tbh..
Yeh you would think your at a safe space at your doctors, there just rude. Most nurses have been great though good to talk to. Reception staff reasonably OK if you get the right one. Honestly it's a joke as your dealing with ppls illness, disabilities mental health.

While here I had a brilliant nurse who helped me lose lots of weight and I mean lots! So I was happy then she left without saying a word and I was left with another nurse. The women at reception said she was nice so I agreed to see her instead. She looked over my food diary then screamed at me for having honey in my tea. She was angry at me, despite my diet being amazing at the time. I never went back and she made me fall into a deep depression that I am now just getting a hold of. All the weight has gone back on with more due to the depression and anxiety.
