I have severe anxiety and depression, and was diagnosed with ptsd last October. Had two calls from a lady who didn't seem at all bothered. Was told I needed to be referred to a trauma team. Have received no appointment ever since. Been almost a year.

Absolutely disgusting service. If this is the way they assist people, then no wonder suicide is on the rise.

Appalling

I spoken to two really very beautiful individuals, they were both so really very kind caring & most definitely full of love & respect & I truly did feel safe speaking to them both!!

I hope to god that all goes well for them both in love & in life, as they really do deserve to be happy, even if I don't.....

I really wish that I could be just like them both, although I have no chance in the world!!!!

I've been waiting since November 2023 for an appointment and referral with the other company and told that I would get an appointment soon and I was told the same thing in January 2024.
Now it's may 2024 and I've been told to contact another company to find out about my appointment. Simply pathetic , this makes you more crazy as the system is pathetic.
However I've been getting talking therapy counselling and haven't been out apart from appointments since my poor health for 3 years.
Since this I've gained my confidence and it's helped me a lot. It's all online and the therapist is lovely and so calm. Sayra is a professional and I've enjoyed it sadly 1 more left and I'll miss it.
I had a lot of anxiety of going out as I get shaking and lacked confidence. Now I go out and helped s lot.

In 2020, I had a lovely counsellor named Ingrid.

She was flexible & worked around my busy work schedule. Very compassionate & listened to me thoroughly. It lasted six weeks only, but made a slight difference to my well-being. Very grateful.

I have recently completed twelve weeks of CBT and it has been a complete success. I was referred by the mental health practitioner at my GP and from beginning to end everything ran smoothly. I cannot praise my therapist enough, Nqobile was professional, patient, kind and understanding. I can honestly say that it has changed the way I live my life. Thank you so much to Nqobile and The Living Well Consortium.

I had a brilliant experience with my counsellor Becky. She was so insightful, empathetic, kind. She was punctual, respectful, gave me real coping strategies, information about scientific studies and proven strategies to help me with my needs. She helped me see things in myself that I had been missing, but was also patient and let me come to my own conclusions. I can't recommend her enough.

We had arranged for home visits for my Mum, and had been promised these would start when she returned home from her care home. 2 days before we were told all staff on 2 weeks holiday and no one available. So we've had to quickly try and find carers locally who can go in. Very stressful for us as a family. A proper organisation communicates holidays and doesn't allow all volunteers to be off at the same time.

First my referral got messed up (that happens so oh well) and I was assigned a counsellor even though counselling isn’t beneficial to me. I was meant to have a follow up call to decide whether DBT was a better option for me than CBT due to my heightened emotions but I never received that call and was just put in CBT automatically. My therapist was extremely condescending, invalidating and simply did not listen to what I was actually saying. By our fourth session, she had not given me a single coping strategy and she barely even asked why I actually need therapy. I should have been easy to work with considering I’m very open about my mental illness and also extremely self-aware but the therapist I had was a terrible fit. Gonna go back to therapising myself because I’ve entirely lost hope in receiving any good help from anyone but myself.
