My doctor recommended that I joined the stop smoking service as I was socially smoking and also vaping too much. I hadn't smoked for around a week when I first saw my doctor, by the time I had my first proper appointment with them (after the initial form and intro call) it had been a month no smoking and they said I no longer needed the service. Instead of them declining me on the introduction call, they made me wait several weeks, sent me emails, even had 1 full session, just to be told I wasn't suitable. So if u need help, don't stop smoking prior to your appointment as they will not help u if it's been a month off smoking. Even though their program is 12 weeks long. Makes no sense.

Live life better Derbyshire was recommended to me when I mentioned I wanted to get more active and wanted to get out more I was informed that Live life better Derbyshire would be able help me with this and also do a lot more things.

I filled in the online application and had an assessment I was then contacted by Paul who asked me a few questions and then explained what was on offer he also mentioned that he does a light exercise class in my area and asked if I would consider taking part at first I was unsure as I'm a little self conscious and was worried I would look out of place as I do have confidence issues.

He emailed me some information and said he will contact me the following week. I looked at the links I was sent and found them interesting. Paul rang me the following week and I decided to push myself out of my comfort zone and join the group I did feel nervous and self conscious but not for long as Paul and group members made me feel more than welcome. I fully enjoyed the light exercise session and meeting the group and Paul (the group facilitator).

There was no pressure when it came to the exercises you just do them at your own pace either standing or sitting and you can take a break or drink whenever you feel the need to we do the light exercises in separate room to the rest of the gym and Paul's instructions are clear and easy to understand and there is music playing in the background. I am glad I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and went and had a go it's something I would never normally do. I fully enjoyed myself not only doing the exercises but meeting new people as well.

A friendly environment and a great way to get a little fitter or a little more mobile I can't recommend it enough.

The staff is nice once you actually see them. Customer service in terms of returning calls they are absolutely Horrible. The one and only time that I have gotten a call back was to become a new patient. After that, I've called multiple times left messages with 0 call backs.

Disappointed so far , my 1st call back was almost an hour late then told I would get an information back within a few days , a month later and still waiting , called the hub to be told it had not been sent , this journey is already hard enough
