Like most reviews here, I can’t give a minus star so they are lucky to even get one star. Trying to book appointments for any kind of issues at this practise is non existent. Every time I call, they say all appointments are booked up for the next two weeks. And they just say try calling later. They don’t seem to have any appointment plans for the following weeks ahead. Seems like they need to update their booking system software. Been trying to book a blood test for the past 2 years. Still no chance. I’m beginning to doubt if they have any doctors or nurses working there? Don’t even bother with their online service, can’t do nout.

Would have given a minus score if possible. Been trying to book an appointment for my four year old for over 2 weeks for a bad cough that just won’t go away. Every morning go on the website/app to book an appointment to get told to try again later, so then called up to be told I have to book online and is tough as they are over worked and understaffed, so I decide to go in to the surgery myself expecting to see a waiting room full of sick patients, to be greeted by a waiting room of two patients. Then to be told I have to go online to book as they’re busy and understaffed, after questioning this by pointing out the empty waiting room I get a smug smile of the very rude receptionist, who told me to go home and use the app.

My surgery for last Wednesday ( 8th January ) at my local hospital has had to be delayed as my doctor has still not referred me to have an echo cardiogram, the hospital sent the doctors surgery the request in the middle of December last year. Until I have the echo cardiogram I cannot have my surgery. I now have to wait until Wednesday 22nd of January before I receive a phone call from my doctor to be referred for the test.

I was told I couldn't book an appointment unless it was at 8am even though it wasn't an urgent booking. Call at 8.00 on the dot just to go into a queue of 50 people.

It’s interesting, they make it really hard to get an appointment so that you don’t push through all the caveats to get the appointment.

Leaving the 10/20% that have an issue that urgent that they push through this gruelling booking system.

I understand putting in these measures because they are understaffed, but the issue lies that a lot of people will avoid booking appointments or ignore ailments due to the headache of a process it is to book an Appoitment.

I’m sure more than 50% of people that try to get an Appoitment don’t book one, due to this ridiculous process and let problems linger or ignore them.

To provide an example this could be a new mole that has appeared and person’s is worried it could be cancerous, but is now ignoring the issue.

Some people have a busy workload and can’t sit by the phone all day to book an appointment with this rigorous overcomplicated booking system.

Lister medical I hope you realise that most people don’t write reviews, so the continuous bad reviews you are getting is just the minority of people that have had pain inflicted from your bad practice.

To provide solutions, if the appointment is not urgent let people book appointments even if there is a 3 month wait. They can then opt in to get an earlier appointment and check for cancels?

The reception staff are just following procedure, but what is the point in having the call line when they can’t assist with anything?

Terrible practice cannot get appointments rude receptionists on the answer phone. They are offering new patients to join and cannot even cope with the patients they have . They need reporting to the BMA . I know that gps are over whelmed however this is a joke . I changed my practice because they are so awful and I know get to see a go and offered appointments by wonderful reception staff
It would appear they are cashing in a an already overwhelmed nhs service because why keep taking new patients

I been there 2 days in a row at 8 AM to make an appointment and they just sent messages saying a doctor will call me shortly but I never received a call from doctor, now after 10 days I am still waiting to have un appointment booked or to talk to an doctor about my health.

Communication is worse than even I thought possible.
Ive raised a complaint about Communication issues. And been asking how long it will take for the complaint to be looked at
I was ignored for multiple days and then sent a standard copy/paste response, will with no expectation management or timescale

They seem to enjoy making patients lives miserable by inducing anxiety and stress unnecessarily.

If i didnt think other surgeries were just the same I'd move but there is no point.

Updated 10/10
Communication continues to be poor. 18 complaints since April. Response inadequate and incomplete. No signs of improvement.

If I could give them 0 stars I would

I'd leave no stars if I could. 3 weeks after my son was born I began to feel pain under my ribs and have trouble eating and drinking without feeling extremely sick. Went to the GP on an urgent appointment and spoke to a doctor who excused it as being caused by my weight and simply a pulled muscle. I begged for tests which he refused as he wanted me to try losing weight first and see if the pain went away... 1 week later I was in hospital for an emergency gallbladder removal as it had ruptured. So what the GP passed off as "fat and lazy" to a new mother was actually an organ about to explode, which a blood test when I asked for one could've diagnosed and ultimately avoided the need for surgery and missing fundamental weeks with my newborn.
