Was admitted last Wednesday for a hernia op. Had to stay overnight. I can't praise the care I received enough. From admission to discharge all staff were kind and caring and efficient. Special mention to Restie, the nurse who looked after me in Recovery. I cannot recall the names of the staff on 7A South but they were all exceptional. My surgeon and anaesthetist were lovely too. I was very nervous about the op but everyone was so kind and reassuring. Thank you all. You were very patient with me!

Was advised to go to A & E by a GP due to accident. Receptionist and staff were really nice, waited about 7.5 hrs to see a doctor. However, the doctor (from DARTing room) was incredibly rude and condescending, and I felt gaslighted to thinking that there was nothing wrong with me. The doctor rushed the consultation and tried to send me off quickly without addressing my worries. The lack of empathy and professionalism is very concerning.

2 weeks ago I visited Lister Urgent Care centre for a broken elbow and am so appreciative of the care, kindness and quick action from every nurse, doctor, surgeon and staff member I encountered.

Triaged swiftly, into X-rays, escalated to surgical assessment area and after a short wait for doctor review given a private room & bed with surgery the following afternoon. The urgent care doctor even stayed late after her shift ended to ensure I was getting the follow up I needed as the urgent care centre closed at 8pm which was incredibly kind.

I was a bit nervous about going under general anaesthetic for the first time, but the team were so kind and assuring. The doctors and surgeons all explained this clearly and patiently.

The after-care so far has been great with 2 appointment follow-ups at the fracture clinic and physio booked in, all through an easy automated process, no long waits on phones! So thankful to all the amazing NHS staff.

This Hospital was very good today, with my granddaughter being in emergency part of it and a gentleman named Keith in the car parking area helped me out a lot as I forgot my disabled Badge with everything else going on but he helped me sort my car out and everything. very helpful people here.

I can't fault the professionalism, care and service the medical staff provide, they are worthy of 5 stars plus anytime. The booking system for appointments seems not to be working efficiently though: I attended one appointment when one wasn't required and accused of failing to attend an appointment that I had no notification of. I spent 2.5 hours waiting to get a prescription exacerbated by the screens, that displayed whose prescriptions were ready, braking down. In the end I had to leave without my meds in order to catch the bus to work.

Had a very good experience with the staff, the diagnostic and with the fact thay they kept me over night to monitor my health. Was scary but the nurses and the doctors were all so kind and helpful. Thank you all!!

I cannot thank the Gastroscopy Unit enough, especially Dr. Daniella Morris and her wonderful team, for their exceptional care and professionalism. I want to give a special mention to Eve, who was an absolute star. She immediately understood how anxious I was due to a previous, very difficult experience at another hospital for the same procedure.

Eve’s kindness, reassurance, and ability to put me at ease made all the difference. Thanks to her, I felt relaxed and calm throughout. The endoscopy unit was impeccably clean, and every member of staff was incredibly helpful and compassionate.

Thank you all once again for making what could have been a stressful experience so much easier.
