Been a patient at Lionwood for 2 years. Receptionists are generally friendly and helpful. Healthcare staff are kind, ask lots of questions and go through medical history to get an accurate diagnosis.
I would also like to say that the pharmacy staff have been brilliant whenever I have needed medication or have a medical concern such as a cold or being in pain for advice whilst waiting to see my GP. The pharmacy team are very knowledgeable and friendly.

I'm a newish patient to the surgery and this is the first time I've had to make an appointment. Absolutely dreadful!! Nearly an hour on the phone in a queue. Eventually got on the triage list awaiting a call back which never happened to find I have a text message to book my own appointment. Which I eventually done after selecting several times which were being shown available to me to find they were no longer available.
I eventually get an appointment over a week later. This would never have happened at my previous surgery Lawson Road Health Centre

I’ve moved about a fair bit over the last 30 yrs or so and registered at quite a few different GPS. I’ve got to say, Lionwood is probably the best that I’ve used.
Ive never had to wait longer than a few days for an appointment, and often have been able to see someone within a few hours of requesting an appointment. It never seems too busy or chaotic and the staff have always been nothing but helpful. I honestly don’t have a bad word to say about it.

I’ve been with this surgery for almost 30 years. They are absolutely fantastic and professional, doctors and nurses. The receptionist staff are great too. I feel bad for the overworked excellent staff when I see bad reviews from certain people! Our NHS is stretched to breaking point due to there being too many people. Our services were not designed for what we have to deal with now. These hardworking doctors, nurses and receptionist staff are not to blame, they go above and beyond.

Mine and my family’s recent experience at this surgery has been horrendous. This is mainly due to the incompetent administrative staff rather than the doctors, nurses and healthcare assistants who are, in the main, great. Having to chase up referrals and prescriptions that have been lost, mislaid etc is commonplace and something a patient shouldn’t be having to do themselves. I have been a patient with the practice for 20 years and it appears as if it’s hit an all time low. Not good enough.

Trying to book and appointment which, for some reason, has been made incredibly difficult.
1. I try to call, and I'm not even able to queue because the queue is full. The automated message says to book online.
2. I try to book online and can't because I have no idea what my user name is. Furthermore, which ever high-school drop out designed this site didn't add a "recover user name" function, which is pretty standard these days.
3. Then it says, for any assistance using this site, please PHONE the practice, I refer you to point 1.

The reception team are currently busy with other people, and the que ahead of you is full.guess this is how it is now. Tried calling 15 times. God knows whos managing this surgery now. Its dreadful. Used to be great. The doctors and nurses are excellent. Such a shame.
