It’s beginning to look dated now as not been for several years . Not really enough room in Surgical Assesment Ward for amount of patients they have. I suppose that’s common now the population has outgrown its facilities .
Doctors dentists are all nearly overwhelmed .
My Brother was taken via ambulance to the hospital and admitted into the ward
Update Brother now in Greetwell Ward which is a lot larger ward with more access room for wheelchairs . Lots of friendly staff and helpful. He’s just started eating so hopefully soon be lots better. Really needs a care home environment now so hope they will sort it out. His dementia/ Alzheimer’s is getting too bad to be left on his own at home . It’s a shame when you see your loved ones develops such a horrible disease . Bless anyone who’s suffering right now with any health problems .

This is not a review regarding care, as the care my relative has received since being an impatient has been excellent. My complaint is regarding communication from the staff to relatives. I am down as next of kin with phone number provided yet they said that did not have my number to let me know that my relative had been moved wards. We were not aware until someone went to visit on the original ward. You get no update on how care is going how patient is responding to treatment. It seems it is put upon the visiting relative to hunt out the staff looking after the patient to find out any information. When I did telephone for an update after giving all relevant patient information, name - date of birth/ address they still managed to start to give me information on another patient!!! Communication needs to be improved massively. Also I noticed that the staff whose native language is not English. When discussing patients speak in their native language. If they are working on shift they should only speak English.

Awful, over the 8 months from my Dads initial admission when he was discharged after 12 hrs and was returned by his GP within 24hr for an 11 week stay where he was diagnosed with a terminal illness to when they discharged him with insufficient care (more then once) and every awful negligent decision in between. Not only did the hospital make his last months insufferable but now we as his family have to live with the fact we could not despite our best efforts protect him from you. Also I tried to leave this review on the NHS website but it was refused as “it sounds like you have a complaint” so if all negative reviews blocked on the site how can a balanced critique be made?

The staff here were all amazing. I was waiting for a minor surgery for 8 hours, and I was so impressed with how they deal with patients and myself. The surgery team were 100% and made me feel so comfortable and less nervous. Thank you to you all, you're fantastic and save lives on a daily basis... super heroes! ?

Absolutely horrific experience. My little boy who was 12 days old had casting on his feet due to a condition he has that needs correcting. Mr Hafez in orthopaedics wrapped them too tight resulting in an overnight stay on the children’s ward. When asking for a referral over to Sheffield children’s hospital it was met with we would need to contact the secretary.

Upon contacting her she mentioned we would need to come into the appointment in order to ask for one. When we arrived it we were then informed that we would need to contact a GP! We mentioned we wouldn’t have come into the appointment if that was the case which we were threatened with a safeguarding report. Complete mess around and rude, patronising consultants.

Couldn’t fault the nurses/plaster team (especially a gentlemen called Jack) as they were fantastic.

I can't speak too highly about the treatment I received from the staff of Clayton Ward under guidance from the Dermatology and Tissue Viability specialists.
Having endured progressive deterioration of my body caused by the chemical burn from a Lynx deodorant - to the point where my skin was splitting, bleeding and peeling over a 9 month period - it reached the point where it was hospital or else! 9 DAYS LATER this was healing to the point that discharge home was being planned and cure was almost complete.
Thank you so much to everyone concerned - and for the friendly relationships established with them.
The food was pretty good, too - just served at unusual times by my standards!

My son was told by 111 to go to A&E within an hour. He got there and had to wait in chairs for 26 1/2 hours before they found him a bed. Was in the Emergency Medical Assessment unit. Got took for a CT scan that he wasn’t supposed to have. They then realised that he was supposed to have a chest X-ray. This was after midnight ! He spent just over 24 hours in the unit before they moved him to another ward where he is currently waiting around for a bed again !! It’s absolutely ridiculous ?

This place is terrible! Staff who look like they're so unbithered and do not want to be there. Long hours of waiting in A&E

If you call the number, you get through to the switchboard. No one is helpful there! Spoken to two different women, one of which directed me to a number which was closed. Second one was a rude hussy!

They do not want to give you their names so that they won't tarnish their reputation when you make complaints. Honestly, this place should be shut down, like the walk-in centre in Monks Road was done years ago!
