I think this GP clinic does have space for improvement.

Negatives:
- Bad first impressions: Unfortunately, not the best impression when you first communicate with the staff about an appointment. Either due to long delay before answering the phone or low interest in helping.
- Bad book appointment system: You also get the option to book online but it is limited to time between 8-9am and there are too many steps until getting to book the appointment.
- Location: it is not the easiest location to park or to get too due to the business of the roads etc (not the practice fault), but need to plan ahead of time before getting there.

Positives:
- I do think that if they start improving on their phone communication that will massively change the impression of the practice.
- Doctors: they are excellent and super helpful once you get to to discuss with them your issue. Super attentive to detail and look after all areas of concern.
- Environment: Overall pretty clean and the reception staff are nice when you ask for help.
- Check in: easy check in system on arrival.

This is a review specifically for Dr Ben Addlestone. Thank you for being patient centred and empathetic. I found it easy to be honest about the issues I was experiencing. Really appreciate all the help you've given me

Dr. Hedwat is an excellent doctor—attentive, considerate, and listens to his patients. He took the time to address my concerns and reassured me throughout my visit, making me feel heard and cared for.

I also want to acknowledge Julie the receptionist, who is always kind and welcoming. Her helpfulness deserves recognition.

The staff are very friendly.

8am phone lines open, but only 3 people can be in the queue so your call fails. You call back repeatedly to compete for one of 3 queue slots. Finally you get through and might get given an appointment if you get through early enough.

Or you go onto the app, which they say has appointments avalible in 2 weeks but those slots don't show up on the app. You ask if they can book you in over the phone but get told no you need to use the app.

Rubbish experience let down by technology - it must be possible to improve these things.

why they said you have to come to gp to book an appointment if they suggest us to go to chemist for medication and checkup?…. i go there for booking am appointment and they said you have to come at 8 am and when i go they said go online on our website and book there…i mean are they serious😳so disappointing and also its difficult to wake up with a small baby how could they do that and they did’nt give me prescription for free medication because i did not get a checkup from doctor… like litterally …i was there for checkup.

The receptionists are awful. They refused to give me an appointment just because my skin issue had been present for over a month, despite me explaining that the pain only started last night. They insisted it wasn't urgent enough. When I called 111, they were just as puzzled as I was. It's clear the receptionists show favoritism—my white friend and her mother always receive polite treatment. It's incredibly frustrating, especially since I’m prone to illness, yet they make it difficult for me to see a doctor. And when I finally do, they treat me rudely. It really feels like they prioritise certain patients over others.

If I could I would give a 0 and it’s all because of the receptionist fault, been at the GP for all my life and it’s gotten worse throughout the years, they never seem to have appointments at 8 o clock in the morning and today I managed to get through the phone (which is incredible rare) and was told to call 111 or go to the pharmacist? I’m actually baffled and confused at how and why they’re making this judgement call when I need to see my DOCTOR and not the receptionist. They are causing the community in Longsight/levenshulme more pain than care. 111 will say go to ED which is for more urgent patients. Can’t even see a doctor anymore with the NHS, I work for the NHS myself so I know how hard it is, but this is appalling and the GP receptionist is rude and horrible to speak to, they seem to only have the one/two receptionist that have been there for almost 2 decades. Grown old and bitter. This is a joke.

This review is for Dr. Ben Addelstone, my adult daughter has been under his care for just over eighteen months. When we first came my girl was in a dreadful state and really needed someone to listen to her and help her get a diagnosis. Dr Addelstone was fantastic, he was kind, and got on the case with referrals straight away, made us feel heard and important! Later when her mental health started to take its toll he was open and proactive. We now have a diagnosis and financial support, and without his dedication she would not be in as good a condition as she is today. Even tho she’s not better yet, he’s helped her to have a better quality of life. As a parent who doesn’t live in the same city I am so grateful for his time, understanding and professionalism. This is a doctor who makes people’s lives better.
Thank you so much.
