Recently spent time on wards 19 and 14 (cardiology). The care was superb, the nurses are fantastic and take such good care of the patients. Everyone is friendly, empathic and so very kind from the catering staff to the consultants. As a very nervous patient, they couldn’t have done more to make me feel at ease. I’d particularly like to mention nurse Faith on ward 14 who is honestly an angel. Thank you so much for all you do!

The reason for my low score is there is no reception for checking in and I was waiting outside ward 26 asking staff entering and leaving about being checked in for my day survey. I did arrive at 0745 which was 15 minutes later than specified. I was sat waiting in the corridor for staff to come out and get me checked in. I waited until 0815 then asked hospital staff who were entering and exiting Ward 26 about being checked in for day surgery and I was told on 2 separate occasions someone will be with you shortly! Well they weren't I had to press the buzzer on the door, a nurse answered so again I asked about being checked in and he replied they’re busy atm someone will be out to see you soon. So again I waited and again no one came. I pushed the door buzzer for the second time @0930, finally I had a response someone came and checked me in. They hadn’t a clue I had been there waiting because nobody came out and checked!! I was supposed to have an ultrasound scan before my surgery, to locate the debris left in my shoulder from my original surgery 16 months ago. They said they didn’t have time to do this because of the mix up with checking me in early enough to get this done. The surgeon asked me where abouts the debris was in my shoulder and asked me to point it out while I was on my bed having my cannula fitted. I don’t have a clue it’s on the original ultrasound scan done months ago at Huddersfield RI. So I had my surgery with no one actually knowing exactly where the debris was that they missed from my last shoulder surgery. Nothing like a good guessing game?! I don't know if what they removed was sufficient or there's something still left inside my shoulder, only time will tell. Other than that the care staff and nurses were lovely and did everything they could to make me feel comfortable so thanks for that much appreciated 🙏

Excellent care, came in with very serious injuries and was treated amazingly. The doctors were outstanding as were the nurses on PACU and ward L10 (Jubilee Wing). The hospital cleanliness was exceptional and they really went above and beyond to keep me comfortable and upbeat the few weeks I was in there. Forever grateful they saved my leg.

When I broke my hip a year ago I was took into A&E in a ambulance and bones. Drivers were fantastic but ANA staff weren’t very good. Waited on a bed and till 1 o’clock in the morning before I went up to the ward then some of the doctors in the ward was great, but one doctor put a needle in without telling me what they were doing first Then the discharge nurse was appalling. Very very rude. Didn’t give me any stuff to leave the hospital with no medication nothing and also I have a learning disability and cerebral palsy

We are all probably guilty of moaning about NHS but my mum's just gone through the system from going into A&E Tuesday and then to the stroke ward 23 then 21.
All I can say is they are all the staff are so polite and cared for my mum Shirley with the respect she deserves.

Thanks NHS my mum's home today and is in a good place 👍

Having suffered from reflux for years, I simply wanted a few questions answered......but my GP and hospital specialist simply refused to answer them, saying they can't answer hypothetical questions. The specialist was extremely rude over the phone. Extremely. I kept being given appointments I couldn't make, and when I finally relented and had another scope......they STILL wouldn't answer my questions, in regard to other potential treatments. I'm now riddled with arthritis and I'm just doled out PPIs like Smarties, even though they are the cause of my issues. You're basically treated like something on a conveyor belt. Sadly, I've just given up. I can't afford to give up days of work, to be offered no alternative, or even to be spoken to with some civility, after enduring decades of this condition. Pretty woeful to be fair. What's the actual point? Took myself out of their " care " and off the list. A very dejected feeling.

After a poor experience at another hospital, I was pleasantly surprised by the compassionate and considerate care we received at Leeds LGI. My son had been vomiting for five days and was suffering from constipation. Advanced Practitioner Alex Mann took the time to go through everything with us in detail, conducted thorough observations and checks, and made sure we felt truly heard. He provided clear advice, ensured we were reassured, and made certain we were satisfied before discharging us. From start to finish, the experience was positive—everyone was so kind, and I never felt dismissed as I had at the previous hospital.

If you've broken a bone you might be okay If you go here anything else and not only will they not help you here but some the nurses will actively try and make it worse. There is a very limited number of doctors and especially nurses who are any good. There's just people on minimum wage who hate their jobs and lives
