my son is a working single father,so i usually take my grandchildren for appointments ,dr wanted blood tests so i booked my 15 yr old grandson in for bloods which he had had done at the surgery twice previously this year, as they where fully booked i could not get a appointment for 2 months but i understood and booked the 2nd dec 2024 , [my grandson will be 16 yr on 5th january 2025 ]the day before the appointment i went in to confirm the date/time, and i was told that they do not do under 16yrs , i told her that he had had blood tests done there twice this year as a 15 yr old , she then said that the nurse will not do under 16 yrs ,then why did you book him in 2 months ago knowing he was under 16 yrs old i aked she then said it was a mistake and my grandson should not have been booked in, ok then i said why didnt you contact me or his father in the 2 months since booking to say you had canceled the appointment why wait until the day before we turn up to tell us,i accept mistakes happen but why didnt they not try to rectify the mistake [,all she kept saying while rolling her eyes ]is that nurse doesnt do under 16yrs ,she made it out that i was the one at fault and made me feel very uncomfortable in front of a packed surgery ,this would never have happened under dr goldman or even dr lewis

I have been with this practice for around 35 years and couldn’t imagine having to go to a different GP surgery, in fact from what I hear from other practices it positively scares me! Literally all of the GP’s are amazing and always have been. They are so on the ball, they look after me, tell me when I need to come in for routine checks and refer me immediately when necessary. Dr Fowkes is currently looking after my X-Husband who is end of life and I can honestly say that 100% she is going over and above, she comes out to see him at the drop of a hat when necessary and her personal skills which she has to use with him are second to none as he’s struggling and not an easy patient! She’s so on the ball I literally don’t know how she puts things in place so quickly, his children and I are extremely grateful for the service as a family we are getting so a huge thank you. ALL of the reception staff are also amazing, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and also go above and beyond. A receptionist called me recently, at the end of her working day, (they have his permission to speak to me), following Dr Fowkes coming out to my X-Husband to update me and confirm that a prescription had been sent to a particular pharmacy out of area, close to where he was at the time, she didn’t have to, just absolutely gold star service! All of the staff at Lapal Medical Practice really care and it shows. I could name and thank other GP’s at this practice but they are ALL absolutely brilliant, I sincerely can’t thank them enough for all that they have done for me and my family over the years and continue to do to this day.

I have to say that credit is due to Lapal Medical Practice. The staff are friendly and helpful. I filled in the awful form one now has to complete in order to see the doctor but got no response. I phoned after the 24 hour wait to be told they had not received my request. There were no appointments available but they managed to fit me in on the following day.

The best doctors surgery I've ever known. I've been registered here for over 25 years and I cannot fault anything. The receptionists are all fantastic, polite and very professional. They always try to do their best and it shows. Thank you.

I have been at this drs for 6 years now and I think they are brilliant. Yes it can be awful trying to get through in the morning but thats at every surgery, at least you can be booked an appt even if it is a few weeks away. Most surgeries you have to just ring every day for an availability for that day. The ladies on the phone have always got me appointments on the day for my children when it has been urgent. It is ashame the online appt request is suspended still as I find that so useful to use rather than ringing when its not urgent. I have found all drs and nurses to be really good especially when seeing children. And again the ladies on the desk are always so helpful over the phone and in person. Wouldnt change my drs. Very happy 😊

Awful doctors who don't care. Report a issue, send you for tests and if they don't find anything with the rest results. They leave it at that, no further appointments to investigate other possibilities. Useless

Simply beat surgery. Receptionists are the nicest I have met at GP surgery, so kind and helpful. Nurses are great. And doesn't matter what doctor you see, they are all good! Our favorite is doctor Dhillon. My 1 year old adores him, he has such good attitude towards kids. Always puts me at ease, no judgment. Funny, kind and professional.
