Langely House Surgery is an outstanding GP practice. They are easy to contact via the econsult, the admin staff are friendly, professional and helpful, and each of the GPs I have spoken to have offered excellent care. I feel very grateful to have Langley House Surgery as my GP practice, and highly recommend to anyone considering registering with them.

I’ve just moved to this surgery from another area, twice I have been served by the same receptionist 1) for signing up and 2nd) to put my urine in today after seeing the amazing doctor Dr Matthew McCloskey! I suffer so bad with anxiety and getting my words out, and both times dealing with her she’s very impatient! Cuts you off speaking, and both times I’ve been made to feel like an inconvenience, the face expressions as well as the tone says it all! My mental health can make me very uneasy and don’t want to deal with people but also can make me very angry and upset and explode! I will only deal with the attitude so many times and the eye rolls before I say something. I totally respect the hard work the receptionist do, but I will treat people how I am treated
Many thanks

This surgery is always very accommodating. All the receptionists are very helpful and courteous. I never had any problem getting an appointment especially for my very young children. This is one of the best surgeries. ?

Small update 26 July 2024

Could Langley House get any better? Following stomach pains and retching I telephoned the surgery at 5.15pm. (I was really worried due to having had abodimial surgery last week). Althiugh it was so late in the day I had a call back from a GP within 30mins. So impressed. Thank you Langley House for your continued support and excellent service.

Update 19 July 2024

I have to praise Langley House Surgery again. After being discharged Wednesday following an operation on Turesday, I was feeling so rough yesterday morning and it was so painful to drink anything, so I was worried especially with the hot weather and had not really drunk much at all since Monday. I rang the surgery at 8.20 yesterday, was no. 1 in the queue, answered within 30 seconds, spoke to a receptionist that listened to me and documented what I was saying and made sure she got everything right, and the GP called me just after 10.30. She gave me some advice and I have a follow up to discuss more with my usual GP on Tuesday and can contact anytime if I worsen or am worried about anything. I still feel so lucky to be a patient at this surgery.

Update November 2023

This surgery still offers outstanding care, and from what I've heard it is the best in the area. Regardless of others saying they cannot get appointments, I believe, and my experience is, that appointments are fairly easy to obtain. If it is an emergency they will ALWAYS see you the same day. If you complete an e-tiage 99% of the time if will be dealt with the same day and these are triaged really well for appointments (this may only be available in the morning, but that is to avoid too many to deal with). Yes the wait for routine appointments is about 6 weeks now but as mentioned above, if it's urgent they will see you and they do have other ways for you to book appointments quicker than 6 weeks. I have had dozens of appointments this year (so I know what I'm talking about) all with my favouritte GP (except for emegency appointments). I never have to wait in a long queue on the telephone. The most was about 8th but that was at 8am, otherwise no more than 3rd and usually 1st in the queue. My GP (Dr Bowen-Perkins) is still absolutely amazing and has been spot on with everything (advice, medications and diagnoses) and finally diagnosing my asthma last year after trying for 30+ years to get that diagnosis, and the inhaler I am now on has changed my life (I will forever grateful for this). I feel so privileged and lucky to have him as our GP and to be patients at Langley House. Thank you everyone at Langley House for all your hand work and care, it is so appreciated.

I still like to update my review occasionally to make it current. This surgery still exceeds all expectations. I have needed them so much over the last few years. The admin team are helpful and work really hard and they answer the phone promptly. Getting appointments is a very simple process and I always get my own GP for routine appointments and face to face too (which is great for consistency and he is excellent). There has never been a problem getting urgent on the day appointments with the duty doctor even if calling mid-morning for myself and my daughter. All clinicians I have dealt with are good and I have no complaints The surgery as a whole are so brilliant and we are very lucky to have them. My own GP, Dr Bowen-Perkins, is consistently brilliant and always listens and gives you his full attention. He has been brilliant with physical issues and mental health support, and I really would not have been able to get to the position I am in now had it not been for his support and the wider support of the surgery. And I will be forever grateful for his recent diagnosis of asthma where I have literally tried to get a diagnosis for decades, I'm now on the right inhaler and it's changed my life. I can't thank him or the surgery enough. I feel so blessed to have this surgery and this GP caring for myself and my family.

I have been surprised to see unsatisfied comments. In my experience the reception staff at Chichester & Bosham are always very polite & helpful, the nursing staff are pleasant and efficient and those doctors, of whom I have had experience in the ten or so years I have been a patient, have been & are excellent. My only small comment would be how confusing I find making a phone call to arrange an appointment, but this is indubitably my fault as I have no idea how to manage modern technology.
