Probably the worst practice I have ever been with, over-crowded and I fealt rushed through appointments (if you can get one). I first went about my ears and was suggested a nasal spray and told that an ENT appointment would take under a year (which to my knowledge, I was never actually referred). My condition has worsened since and the nasal spray aggravated my symptoms. I now have a new doctors and they managed to get me and ENT within 1 week, which leaves me confused as to why I was told differently by this practice, especially when the same symptoms were described and i was told by my new practice that it should be treat urgently. I am a musician, and I feel the lack of urgency could have potentially cost me my career.

Try getting through on the phone!
Recoded message lasted over 2 minutes then got an automated reply saying the queue was full and call again later.
Whenever you call you always seem to be number 9 or 10 in the queue or the queue is full.
I have to say that my experience with the Drs and face to face with the staff is very positive, it’s just the telephone service that really lets this surgery down!

Wife’s review
I called King Cross Pharmacy (Halifax) regarding the delivery of my prescription. I spoke to Alexis/Alexie ( pharmacy assistant), who was unprofessional over the phone. She told me there would be no delivery as customers were abusing the service, and the service was only for the elderly, but young people were also receiving this service when they shouldn't be. I informed her of my situation that I was heavily pregnant and unable to get to the pharmacy, and she said it was just a pregnancy and not a good enough reason for me not to be able to come. I asked to speak to the manager, who handled the situation professionally and explained why deliveries were unavailable. However, I did feel he was covering up for his staff's unprofessional behaviour and informing me there were several calls regarding deliveries, which does not make Alexis' behaviour acceptable. Alexis had not applied the NHS core values during her interaction with me nor demonstrated a positive attitude, compassion or patience. The setting is supposed to be a safe place to deal with any concerns and questions pregnant women may have. However, I feel I can no longer call up and address any of my worries.

An absolute shambles, after 10 days of acute abdomen got to see a so called advanced clinician, after a cursory examination, was prescribed more laxatives, this made the pain worse, went back 4 days later in extreme pain, had a consultation with Dr Zafar who immediately sent me to Huddersfield hospital were I spent the last 10 days having tests for a large growth in my stomach, iam returning next week for more biopsies, was told by the clinician my stomach was clear. Obviously not qualified to make decisions of this nature. Tried to find profile on Facebook and Google nothing there, makes you wonder?

I am new to the surgery but I have high praises of how professional, kind and thorough Nurse Baiyan is. She is calm, friendly and makes me feel at ease during the whole consultation. I would definitely give her 5 stars!!!

Also, thanks to Tasneem and the male receptionist (didn’t manage to get his name) - they’re all very helpful and friendly - just what you needed when you seldom visit your GP. You guys are doing such an amazing job, many thanks!!!
