I had been suffering with an ingrown toenail for about a year, naively thinking it would get better on its own. Spoiler alert, it did not and I was in near constant pain and discomfort. I got in touch with Abby and despite my obvious idiocy in leaving it so long, there was no judgement and at my assessment, it was decided that the only way to sort it out was to permanently remove the offending nail.

This was a bit daunting, but Abby made the whole process as easy and stress free as it could possibly have been. The surgery itself was completely painless and I don’t think my recovery could have been any smoother, thanks to the constant supply of bandages, plasters and good advice.

The relief has been nothing short of incredible and I would highly recommend anyone with foot issues to get in touch.

I’m a keen club runner, taking part in ParkRuns through to marathons. I also love walking and playing squash too. After over-loading my running, I developed shin splints in January 2023.

I booked in to see Abby after struggling with shin splints for around 7 months. I’d seen a sports physio but their guidance didn’t see a great deal of improvement.

Abby conducted a thorough physical check of my legs and went through a comprehensive review of my activities. My running gait was checked and anything else that could be contributing to the condition. The initial diagnosis was confirmed and a recovery plan was put in place.

I stopped running for 3 month and followed the plyometric, strengthening and stretching exercises which Abby prescribed. These were supported with online tutorials so I had references to support and know exactly what to do. Through the recovery phase I checked in with Abby a couple of times. Improvements could be seen with swelling reducing and the painful symptoms reducing.

Having undertaken some weighted tests, I was given the all clear to resume running. Abby gave me advice about the loading, pace and terrain I should follow, to avoid any setbacks. She’s also been responsive when I’ve wanted to ask questions and check in on my progress after the in-person sessions.

Having completed a successful recovery, barring blips where I’d probably been too eager, I’ve just done the London and Leeds Marathons, getting an overall PB and course PB respectively, with no issues.

I can thoroughly recommend Abby. She has a caring manner and is very knowledgeable in all areas of podiatry, giving me the confidence that I’d make a successful recovery.

I have been visiting Emma twice a week for the past 3 wks for Post Operative Lymphatic Drainage Massages.
Emma is very knowledgeable, warm and friendly. I was feeling a little apprehensive about my body and how it felt and looked after surgery. Emma assured me that these feelings were normal and that my body had been through major trauma and would in time heal.

Before going to Kin Body and Sole to see Abby, I had suffered with five verrucas for over 10 years, I had tried many over the counter products, none of which worked. My feet had become a great source of embarrassment for me and I had lost hope that they would ever be normal and painfree. Abby was always reassuring and patient with me, without her it would still be painful to walk. Could not recommend Abby and Kin Body and Sole enough !!!

We live in Lincoln with family in York who recommended Abby and the services Kin,body and Sole offer. Obviously travelling from Lincoln is not a quick journey, however the service which Abby gives is second to none and both me and my wife have had long standing foot issues resolved. We continue to travel back every 6 weeks or so to have treatments and a bit of TLC for our feet. Absolutely recommend Kin, body and Sole, good value for money and a service worth travelling for.

We went to see Abby to seek advice about my daughters ingrown toe nails late last year. Abby recommend surgery which she did for my daughter on two occasions for her both her big toes. My daughter struggles with anxiety, Abby and Emma were incredibly patient with her and made her feel at ease. They went out of their way to support my daughter and the whole experience was very positive.
The after care that Abby provided was above and beyond anything I would have expected and nothing was too much trouble.
My daughter has had no issues with her toes since the surgery and I cannot thank Abby enough for the service she provided. I highly recommend Kin, Body and Sole!
