My 12 year old son had an appointment at this hospital yesterday to have some teeth removed. Being autistic he was very anxious and would panic every time they called him for his observations etc. We had a lovely woman come in and explained everything that would happen, showed him some things they would use (like the mask) and let him look and check it all out which helped as he new exactly what to expect.

The whole team was absolutely fantastic with him and reassured him the whole time answering any questions he had. By the time it was time to go down to the theatre he was alot calmer and more relaxed (probably the medicine they gave him but i still count it as a win 🤣)

Once he was in I had different members of staff come and check on me and ask how I was feeling as it's a very anxious time waiting, they checked on me and gave me updates even though it only took less than 45 minutes. Once he was out they done regular checks and made sure me and my son was okay. Advice on after care was given once we was discharged.

The hospital itself was quiet, clean and calm which always eases anxiety as well. They had a little shop / cafe to get food and drink but also had a drink station on the ward so we didn't have to leave if we needed want to. I can't thank the pediatrics for all the help. Everyone from the nurses and surgeons to the play therapist played a massive part in helping keep my son calm and they done amazing.

I doubt any of the team will read this but if you do, thank you for everything you done. Even though our stay was only a few hours everyone was so kind, patient and understanding. The work you do is amazing and you all made me and my son very comfortable and less nervous 🥰

Visited the hospital with mum who at 97 needed a ct scan. All staff were considerate to mums needs, they were friendly, warm, and happy which kept her calm. The appointment was on time, the nurse was extremely clear in her explanations and mum was out within minutes. I’d also like to thank the transport that took mum to and from the hospital. All were wonderful.

The staff are friendly and helpful and the hospital is clean. The only problem is the parking. I’ve been driving round for almost 2 hours. The car park is far too small. This leads to many people missing there appointments.

Went here for a endoscopy procedure yesterday was alot of waiting around to go down to get the procedure
the nurse trying to get the needle in for the cannula was eating chewing gum and popping bubbles down my ear while trying to get the needle in.
Procedure was quick and nurses were lovely and friendly.
