A Deeply Grateful Testimonial

Since starting trauma therapy with Kate in October last year, my life has truly transformed. When I first came to her, I was battling overwhelming stress, anxiety, and fear, and I couldn’t see a way forward. Kate’s guidance, compassion, and unwavering support over the months were nothing short of life-changing.

From the very first session, Kate created a safe and nurturing environment, where I felt truly heard and understood. She not only helped me navigate through my pain but also equipped me with practical tools to manage the intense emotions that dominated my life. Her insights into trauma were profound, and her approach was gentle yet incredibly effective.

Week by week, she helped me reconnect with my strength and resilience, something I had lost sight of in my darkest moments. Kate's therapeutic techniques, combined with her empathetic nature, allowed me to face my past and present challenges with newfound courage.

Last week, Kate signed me off, and while it’s bittersweet to no longer have our weekly sessions, I feel more equipped, empowered, and hopeful than I have in years! It’s no exaggeration to say that I wouldn’t have made it without her. Kate has been a lifeline, and I cannot recommend her highly enough for anyone struggling with stress, anxiety and fear from stress, or some other relationship trauma. I also know that if I ever have another wobble, I can rely on her help and support.

Thank you, Kate, for everything! You’ve truly changed my life!

Kate's TRE work with me, both 1 to 1 and in group, has been like an Oasis for my nervous system and a wonderful experience across many years.

I have a movement disorder and thanks to Kate, began to realise that the more I shook in TRE, the less I shook outside of it.

I also have complex PTSD. Sometimes I have experienced deeper parts of trauma memory through shaking, providing understanding and release. Other times, TRE has beem a time of gentle, body led release and restoration. Deeply restful.

All this experienced in a very safe and comfortable/comforting environment which Kate creates and enables with her skills, gentle presence, guidance and insight. It has been life changing.

The more people who know about and use TRE, the better. The more healing there will be.The more who are knowledgeable and learn teaching skills, the better. Heartfelt thanks and appreciation Kate.

I have just completed my TRE provider certification journey with Kate... I started out with a vision to bring TRE to the community of recovering addicts I work with and have been guided by her compassionate expertise and superior knowledge in her field. All the stumbling blocks and self-doubt that challenged me, her support helped me overcome. TRE is such an incredibly simple yet effective technique; it opened me up to a new awareness of self, peeled away some layers and helped me move on with strength and courage. We need more providers, so if you are thinking it might be for you, it probably is! And I would whole-heartedly recommend that you take the journey with Kate. SianWx

I was offered Safe and Sound Protocol to help with my IBS symptoms as it is partially caused by anxiety. When in a stressed state I tend to hold my emotions in my gut and tense and constrict the surrounding muscles leading to symptoms.

When starting SSP Kate gave me the scientific details of how the frequencies in the specially curated playlist could help with regulating stress by interacting with your vagus nerve. All this information can be found on her easy to navigate website.

Starting of slow with 5-minute sessions every other day whilst engaging something mindful such as looking out at nature or drawing then making sure to integrate after each listen. When I began to feel confident with the shorter sessions I was guided to start expanding to longer sessions of 15 minutes, the longer sessions where particularly enjoyable as I had designated time in my day to complete something mindful and felt like a meditative state.

The reduction in IBS symptoms has been significant since the start of my SSP journey. Although I still hold emotion in my gut when in a stressed state, I have a better way of recognising and processing my responses. The direct relationship of how mental stress can manifest in a physical reaction of IBS symptoms was evident whilst listening to SSP. Throughout the course regulating mental stress has had an impact on the tension I hold in my body. I observed, whilst listening to SSP, my body feeling lighter as tension was release from muscles surrounding my abdomen which helped find a state of calm both mentally and physically. By understanding this relationship of the mental and physical, I have learnt how I can now manually take steps to recognise when I feel tension in my gut and relax the constricted muscles. This has greatly improved with listening to SSP and has continued after completing the course.

I often found myself feeling tired after completing a session which is why I benefited from doing the sessions in the evening. This was a positive sign for me as I often feel tired after the traditional conversational therapy which I attend to alongside SSP. The two therapies complement each other, as I am working through past traumas, finding myself and new meaning in life while also training my brain and body to improve my responses away from chronic response states.

Listening to SSP in the evening also gave me a routine which help me prepare for a better night of sleep. I have previously had racing thoughts which prevented me from falling asleep but after each session I found myself drifting off to sleep. Even a few months after completing the SSP course I am falling asleep quicker and not waking during the night.

I worked my way through SSP Core and SSP Balance with consultation and regular check-ups from Kate. I have felt a substantial shift in the way I hold emotion in my body and have been able to improve my IBS symptoms. SSP has also helped with my emotional responses especially in states of stress by engaging the ventral vagal complex.

I just attended Kate’s workshop on polyvagal and neuroception. It was excellent. And helped me connect the dots on two imperative topics for deep and lasting transformation and healing. I attended for myself as a client of Kate’s in EFT; as well as for my relationships; and the clients I will one day have when I finish my therapeutic trainings. If you are thinking about attending a workshop with Kate, say Yes! You won’t regret it. I learned so much. It was fun. I was with great people online together. It was a nourishing and beneficial experience. Kate is a great teacher and 3.5 hours went by so fast. I could have had 3.5 more.
