I could not recommend Kate enough – a consummate professional who knows her stuff, and a truly warm, empathetic person.

I first came across Kate through her social media channels when I was experiencing some severe hair loss. It was really upsetting and I didn't know where to turn having lost around 30-50% of my hair density.

Thank god I travelled to Manchester to see Kate! In our initial assessment she took the time to listen to my history, understand my medications and supplements, view my scalp with a microscopic camera, and take photos of my partings. After this, she very thoroughly discussed what she believed to be the cause of my hair loss issues (telogen effluvium and female pattern hair loss) and put together a comprehensive plan for me moving forward. She even juggled my supplements around and suggested I take them differently. I felt so reassured and relieved walking away from Kate's clinic knowing what was happening to me was normal and things would get better.

Now, my hair is healthier than ever. Within the first month I noticed new growth, and six months on at my follow-up review, I felt like I had a brand new head of hair (please see uploaded photos for progress).

I went for a follow up appointment 3 months after the initial consultation and have seen a big difference in improvement to my hair! I have been suffering with hair loss around the sides and top of my head which made me self conscious and dislike my hair. Kate is super helpful and knowledgeable with hair and scalp conditions, i felt comfortable with her to confide in the issues i had and she helped me with an answer as to why i was losing hair. She is patient, listens and is thorough on explaining treatment plans available in the market but not forceful at all. I highly recommend Kate and she will definitely be my first point of contact if i have other hair issues

Very kind professional and very helpful. Super responsive via email and gave lots of support. It’s really clear that she’s passionate about what she does 🙂 would 100% recommend. I also have 4C Afro textured hair and would highly recommend any one with this hair texture to see her if they have any concerns. I was a bit worried as my hair type usually isn’t catered for, but very supported and I was definitely in capable hands. 🙂

I recently visited Kate after a few weeks worrying about hair and scalp issues. Kate was brilliant- she really listened and understood how I’d been feeling about it all. She was so thorough and professional. After examining my hair and scalp she offered me great advice going forward and plenty of reassurance which was just what I needed. I feel like I got so much more than an initial consultation as it was also followed up with a summary of the appointment and some more useful information to read. She also got in touch with my GP to suggest blood tests, again for piece of mind which I hugely appreciate! I also appreciated Kate saying I could get in touch anytime if I needed to! I made an appointment to see Kate in March after experiencing sudden hair loss, and was facing a 62 week wait to be seen on the NHS. Kate was excellent, kind and understanding and carried out a thorough inspection of my scalp with a camera and examined the follicles and areas of loss for scarring, and confirmed a suspected diagnosis of alopecia areata.

She was reassuring at all times, despite me feeling silly for being upset over hair loss. Kate gave a recommendation for dietary changes, supplements and vitamins as well as topical applications I could use as I was wanting to try a more natural route first. Since our appointment one of the patches at the front has started to regrow, and there are small patches of stubble on the largest patch.

Kate has been kind and quick to respond to emails since our appointment when I have given updates or to ask any further questions. I highly recommend her services.

I have spoken to Kate Holden on multiple occasions during this pandemic, but I first talked to her last year, in August. Kate is such a lovely and warm professional. She is honestly the best person I have ever seen. Understanding and willing to help. Even now, several months down the road I find myself emailing her with questions and updates which she replies to quickly and in a friendly manner.
For me, I was worried about the greasiness of my hair and the fact that it was so dry and prone to breakage on the bottom, on top of this I was losing some hair. She recommended a medicated shampoo, understood budget, and gave great tips and suggestions to help me out. I got an information sheet with lots of the information that we had discussed on the phone which was extremely helpful too. Kate was reassuring me throughout and still is. I can't thank her enough for the life that has now returned to my hair, the fact that it's a lot less greasy and knotted. Breakages are rare too. Thank you Kate!
