I've worked with a few therapists over the years to try and help with anxiety and depression and ended all of my relationships with them due to feeling like the therapist or even just therapy in general wasn't for me.

But after a particularly difficult time and it feeling more important than ever that I get mentally healthy (as I now had a child) I went on a search for a therapist again and asked in some circles I'm in for recommendations and Josie came highly recommended by multiple people and I reached out.

It was the best decision I could have made and a huge part of the reason I would no longer say I'm depressed.

Josie is warm, good humoured and extremely easy to talk to. It's clear she has your best interest at heart. All of this is obvious from the get go.

I felt listened to and attended to. She was skilled at taking the rather disparate things I would talk about and thread it all together to make sense of it all for me when I couldn't.

She also made me believe it was possible to get better and one of the hard things about mental illness is feeling trapped in those feelings. But having faith i could get well or even better than well was the beginning of me actually escaping those feelings.

It's genuinely a shame to say goodbye but a comfort to know her door is always open if I need it

I'd recommend Josie to anyone looking for a skilled, compassionate and easy therapist to work with.
