We have a similar complaint to Hayley. We brought to the attention of the IPHM that one of their members (who had been with our organisation)had plagiarised our training materials and using them for commercial gain. IPHM advertise that Training Providers have to agree the material they use is not subject to copyright so I thought they would take this seriously. However they responded immediately that they found no evidence! This was interesting as they didn't even ask to SEE our material to make a comparison! Our organisation is run Ethically and Professionally and we would investigate any such complaint and ask to see the materials in question.
Within a week of submitting the complaint we received this:

“After a thorough investigation into the matter you raised, we are pleased to inform you that we have found no evidence of the individual in question utilising copyrighted material without authorisation.

The training provider holds additional certificates and qualifications that substantiate the quality of her material. Moving forward, we kindly request that if you are interested in pursuing this matter further, you engage in a discussion with trading standards….”

How can they accredit courses the have absolutely no knowledge of anyway?

This company has great reviews from training providers who have been approved by IPHM, but what is IPHM’s process for approving the courses that we, the end user then spends their money on and expects to learn something from? After paying hundreds of pounds on terrible courses from a training provider, I found evidence of all the training manuals being taken/copied/plagiarised from online resources. I sent this clear evidence to IPHM while also bringing their attention to the fact the training provider does not meet IPHM’s own Terms and Conditions. IPHM’s response was to give my details to the trainer and close my complaint. They had the cheek to recommended I took a 50% discount from the trainer even though they don’t know all the other issues! In summary, this accreditation means absolutely nothing as they clearly approve anything, regardless of quality, to make more money. Have a look at the directors profile and see if you notice what I did, then ask yourself if this company is somewhere you want an accreditation from. My views on the course material are not subjective. I sent you evidence. The courses were accredited by another provider who has upheld my complaint. Their standards are clearly higher.

I run a metaphysical training foundation and have done for the past 11 years. IPHM were the first people I thought of to be ambassadors for my practitioners. What I mean by that is it was important for me to have accreditation and approved training standards and the IPHM offer that for all Metatronia Training services. I wouldn’t be without it to be quite honest. They are a great company and I’d even go beyond that and say they are a must have for those who work in the holistic Therapy business especially on the Teacher/training side.
