I've recently completed 1:1 counselling at Impact on Teesside, following successful completion of 4 group sessions. The support from the team has been first class. I feel that my needs were correctly assessed and appropriate care was provided. Thank you for your service.

If you need mental health services or if you are in crisis don’t look to this company for help as they will only add to your stress!
Made an appointment at discrete time. Was called at work in the middle of a working day to cancel an appointment scheduled for 2 weeks later

Awful. The staff are nice enough when you actually see them in person - but, they push 'online courses'.

I tried to explain I had no experience with MS Teams and was apprehensive. They just kept telling me it was 'easy' and not to worry.

In the end - they discharged me from IMPACT as a whole (and not simply from the online courses, which clearly weren't working for me) because I never got MS Teams working on my device. I did keep them informed about this problem via email - but they never took my name off the course. They just penalised me for not attending a course I told them I was literally unable to attend.

I couldn't honestly reccomend them to anyone. I don't feel I have been helped in any way.

Terrible. Rang them in January to ask for help.
Was referred by mental health team in March. Now November still haven't seen anyone or had any contact from them. Disgraceful.

Oh its now May 2025 and still no word from then. Absolute disgrace and not fit for purpose

This service is a good example of why people dont reach out for help.
They have no care for their patients at all, ignorant and just disrespectful.
Completely dismissed what i was saying and treated me like some sort of lunatic when i tried to communicate how i felt, then proceeded to report it all to my gp regardless of my request not to and with no consideration for how that would affect a separate situation between me and my gp.
Also the robotic responses, they might aswell hold up cards for which response they wanna give because its so repetitive and predictable, have a cup of tea or have a bath.
As if a cuppa and a bath is gonna solve anything.
Genuinely you'd be better off figuring things out on your own or talking to a friend because this service will just cause you more stress and problems.

I've had 2 courses of face to face Therapy with Impact, Talking and CBT. Both were extremely helpful, friendly and made it easy to engage.

I was on the waiting list for 2 years and finally got a therapy appointment. By that point I was in a better place but not fully healed so still went ahead with it. First of all, you can’t contact your therapist directly ever, everything is through a general admin account. I have struggled with eating disorders and had to cancel my last appointment as my therapist suggested I start weighing myself. If you know anyone who’s struggled with and ED, that is something completely toxic to start doing again and he knows I no longer weighed myself. I also feel he wanted me to answer what he wanted me to answer, rather than giving my own actual answers to his questions.

I have given 2 stars as he did help me with some aspects but the rest just wasn’t up to par which I guess is understandable when it’s free therapy and not a private one I’m paying for.

Joke of a service discharged me without me missing any appointments which where just phone call appointments, also was told she would contact me to tell me why & still hasn’t got back to me I was on a 2 year waiting list also ended up in a coma because of my poor mental health last year which lead to me to go into roseberry park again and yet they just discharge for no reason!!! Really feel let down by This service.
