I have been a patient at this Medical practice for 25+ years. Over this time, it has been run by several different providers, with varying results. I am pleased to say that the current practitioners, The Hurley Group, seem excellent. Firstly, I have found that appointments have been easier to get, and I have felt heard and understood by the G.P.s, In particular, Dr Bell, she has been fantastic at supporting me over the last few months.
So please disregard any bad reviews from the past, as I believe that this doctors surgery has greatly improved since being run by The Hurley Group.

Always pleasent staff on the telephone and in person. No problems to report. I have been registered at this surgery for over 30 years. Luckierly I do not visit too often but when I do I get sorted out quickly. I met Dr Bell yesterday who was very good with me. Thank you 😀

Just had a phone call today from the Doctor with regard to my Blood Tests. This is a call I was supposed to have at the end of next week. Very surprised and the doctor was a very pleasant man who gave me detailed information with regard to my blood test results. Good experience for a change.

I have been with this surgery for over 20 years and seen many changes. I cannot fault the GP's especially Dr Bell, but their admin and reception staff are appalling and should not be doing these kind of jobs (with the exception of Androulla and Mandy, Janice). I really do not want to be ungracious but they are the reason why patients do not access the resources they need or receive the care they are entitled to, they are rude patronising and minimise peoples pain and suffering whilst they pick and choose who gets help and care and who does not ! The only reason I do not seek an alternative surgery is because of Dr Bell otherwise I would be complaining to the CCG about the staff

Appallingly bad. This is what they have done this week alone, although other times they have been just as bad and as bullying.

MONDAY the receptionists refused an appointment for my wife whose heart beat was in the 50s and told her to call 111
TUESDAY 111 and the econsult told her she needed to see a GP. Receptionist tried to bully her into taking an appointment with a PA and said she'd declined the appointment
WEDNESDAY reception called and told her she needed a medication review. Wife asked why. Receptionist incredibly rude, talked over my wife and said I will note you declined the appointment (an inaccurate record). Then shouted at wife that she would end call and wrongly claimed wife was shouting. Call was on speaker phone. I was shocked how unbelievably rude and aggressive the receptionist was.

If this week is anything to go by, this is a very bed surgery that is bullying patients.

Called them up about an eye infection (woke up to both eyes being sealed shut) and my ears hurting bad from an infection as well. Waited 30 minutes for a clearly not so bothered receptionist to then tell me have I gone to the pharmacy, (I was already taking paracetomol which wasnt working). The pharamcy gave me another type of paracetomol, eye drops and cough medicine. Decided to call 111 in the evening and got an appointment in a few hours. Come to find out that I had a bacterial ear infection (which by the way can lead to rupture/damaged if not treated with antibiotics) and viral conjuctivitis, a fever, and blocked nose all resulting from said so ear infection. To which I have been prescribed Amoxicillin for.

I can now see why this place is rated so low. Never again!

Always get the appointment great stuff and doctors they are always reasonable thank u to all of them dr Bell help me so much with my condition and all of the doctors and nurses they doing they work so hard and good
