Birthday celebration for my mums 80th, we booked this visit back in beginning of October after making a call to the venue and being told that our table of 19 would easily be accommodated. What a disappointment on arrival instead of being sat together we were given two tables each side off double doors leading to the bar. To say my mum was disappointed was an understatement. No amount of pleading with the manager to sort it out would work snd the manageress quite honestly didn’t give a toss. The bar was understaffed and getting drinks was a long wait , the food was appalling with five mains sent back because they were so cold and the supposed trio of desserts was some terrible little plastic tubs of unknown substance and cheap cake it looked like they had raided the sales section at Tesco served on a tacky tray in the middle of the table. Overall very underwhelming and a disappointing night . I would say avoid and look elsewhere.

Went for a tribute event. Although overall a nice evening, I couldn't possibly give 5 stars..
No menu prior to arrival as chef decides what he is doing on the night! Menu itself is vague as it doesn't list what accompanied the main dishes, ie mash, veg, chips etc, so you have to ask and you don't have an option either! It comes as it comes! Food itself was nice though! No choice on dessert that is how it comes too..
No table serving for drinks, so you have to go to the bar and prices not on the cheap side..
Entertainment was good, only disappointed that the act we paid to see only sang for 45 mins! She came back on later as herself and sang the usual songs you would hear in an 80/90 wedding party..songs you have heard so many times before! We expected tribute act to last all evening and was disappointed that she wasn't as she was excellent..
Staff nice though and overall we would go again.

Went here last night to one of the party nights hosted by Fanny Galore with a group of friends and we all had a fantastic night. We decided to stay over and the price included the room, party night, breakfast and use of the pool and spa- it was so reasonable.

The food served was good- not great- but we didn’t have to pre-order like you normally do for these kinds of night and everyone enjoyed their meal. From memory there was a choice of 5 starters (2 vegetarian), 6 mains (1 vegetarian) including steak at no additional cost and 5 desserts. Plus tea/coffee and mints included. We had a couple of vegetarians in the group and someone who was gluten free and we were all catered for. Drinks at the bar were a good price too.

Fanny Galore was excellent but we all agreed we would have liked her time at the end of dinner to have been longer. She had a quick wit and razor sharp tongue and had us all in stitches. The singer had an incredible voice too.

The rooms were furnished really nicely. We stayed in room 30 which had a double and 2 singles. The room was an L shape and the 2 singles were around the corner so it felt like you had 2 rooms. Could easily sleep 4 adults or a family. It was a bit noisy when the night ended and everyone was waiting for taxis as the room overlooked the entrance but after that it was really quiet.

The breakfast in the morning was great. A selection of cereals, toast, condiments, hot drinks, fruit juice and a hot fry up in a buffet style set up so you could just help yourself.
We then went and used the swimming pool and sauna & steam room. This was a great bonus to the stay and it was nice and clean.

Overall I would highly recommend Hunters Meet and we are already planning on coming back later in the year.

Thank you to all the staff at Hunters meet for a relaxing, fun full spa day,including afternoon tea and overnight stay for a 65th birthday, the staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Food was amazing and the 90s night was brilliant. The massages and facial again were amazing and the staff made sure we were all comfortable. We had the barn and conservatory which were clean and comfortable. Thank you 😊 from all 8 of us xxxx

Had my pre 80th birthday party here! Very very good, superb meal choice and lovely! Value for money and not overpriced wine! Great interactive singer felt we knew everyone there!!

We did the pamper stay for my sisters hen do and it was awesome. We was welcomed and one of our rooms were ready early. The barn was clean and brilliant size to get ready together in. The space facilities were good and the facial was the best I’ve ever. Jane was amazing. Not only doing our treatments but bringing our drinks and afternoon tea (which was delicious). Then we had more people join us for the evening meal with a great menu selection and lovely food. Fanny was great entertainment and we danced the night away with the singer. Everyone had a fab time.

Just back from a mini break at Hunters Meet with a group of friends. Great caberet evening, delicious food and an overnight stay followed by breakfast in the morning. We all had a fantastic time and Brendan and his team were all so friendly and welcoming to us. We are looking forward to the next event already!

Cannot say enough to compliment this establishment, from reception to meal then entertainment all was first class with helpful and friendly staff on hand to make your stay very welcoming. I cannot say about rooms as I didn't stay. Parking was good.
