I stayed in Ward 10 for 3 nights following emergency surgery. The staff were lovely, caring and compassionate. My room was cleaned regularly by the porters and couldn't find anything to fault. I was lucky enough to have my own room, the ward itself well run and quiet.
I really do just want to say a massive thank you to the staff for looking after me. We are really very lucky to have such a kind, caring and professional team of health care professionals. Thank you

What a wonderful new Accident and Emergency hospital. I had the privilege of having some Hand Xrays before the official opening. Although empty a few staff on hand very helpful and friendly the building is spotless as you would expect its not open yet the car park has ample parking for disabled and able bodied visitors. A few workers just finishing off plugs and light switches. The X Ray room has a lovely fake glass ceiling with blue sky and clouds to add to the relaxing caring environment of the room.

Amazing service all the way through the receptionist at A&E was so friendly and professional she got me where I needed to be.
I cut myself with a saw I got seen too by triage (I left early to go home because I'm impatient) but I got a call to go back to A&E to be seen I was seen by the x-ray team who were great and quick and then a nurse who was very knowledgeable and extremely professional (great laugh too) my wound was sorted with a clean and a few stitches.

Attended A&E after a foot injury due to a fall on Sunday 6th October. Arrived at 11.15am. Signed in at reception, triaged into Minor Injuries, sent for an x-ray, waited for x-ray analysis and finally put into a knee length boot due to Lysfranc injury. Left A&E at 1.30pm (a complete surprise). The new A&E is modern and clean. All members of staff I came into contact with were professional and friendly. Very efficient service that day. Nine days later had a follow-up phone call from The Virtual Fracture Clinic to inquire how I was doing and to let me know I'd be receiving an appointment for a follow-up x-ray. Also giving me a direct phone number in case of any issues. I couldn't be happier with this episode of care. Very much appreciated. Thank you.

Terrible experience. Arrived at 10pm only properly got seen at 4:15am if you can even call that proper. There was no apology for the lack of communication or long wait and the doctor just started joking around with us like a 5 hour wait is okay. Our main worry was about an infection setting in on a cut that had gone through the lip, but with this wait I’m sure the bacteria had plenty of time to work its way in there. All they did was clean it up. We could’ve done that at home. Even when you ask the receptionist if there are any updates on waiting times, she didn’t even know. I most definitely have PTSD from waiting rooms now. Felt like I was going to go insane. Maybe it’s time to switch to private.

First experience with this hospital - very disappointed. Partner presented to A&E with flu symptoms and was having significant difficulty breathing. Waited over 2 and a half hours to see someone outside peak hours. Doctor saw him for 5 minutes (without any gloves or mask), told him it was a viral flu and to go home and rest (no treatment administered). This is despite the fact that the NHS website states to go to the hospital for treatment if you are having difficulty breathing. 2 days later, partner has deteriorated to the point where he can't sleep because his throat keeps closing over and he keeps choking. Saw our local GP today and partner has now been diagnosed with advanced bacterial tonsilitis. Has been put on an aggressive course of antibiotics but have been told they may take up to 5 days to kick in. Really concerning that this was not properly checked or diagnosed upon him attending hospital.

Hospital itself seems to run very efficiently. The main problem is had was the disabled parking. Totally insufficient spaces. Extreme patience and extra time required

My brother passed away in April, the days before he passed away we were given a memory box, we did his hand print and also had 2 knitted hearts which we placed in my brothers hands, he had them there the whole week and still had them when he passed, sadly when we went the next today to collect his box we were told ita lost, can't find it!! We are really really upset over this, out mam is absolutely devastated. How can they lose a box from someone who had just died the night before?
