Really good to have a local hospital, preferable to the trek to Walsgrave.
I would like to see more local services at St Cross.
Staff were friendly, understanding and helpful; some waiting time in Out-patients department.

We called on Sunday afternoon to explain our daughter had broken a bone. We were at Warwick hospital but due to the wait time, thought we'd call other local hospitals. The call centre staff told us to come through. We spoke to the receptionist who asked for our daughters BIRTHDATE and then asked us to wait to see the nurse. After an hour, the nurse told us that Rugby hospital does not take children under 5 . . . and to return to Warwick or Coventry Hospital - she was embarrassedand apologised saying those questions should have been asked already. How could we have spoke to TWO people and neither bothered to inform us of this, including the person whi had our daughters birthdate and asked if she had started school I understand that the NHS is understaffed but this has nothing to do with staffing. This is gross incompetence. These people should be fired and the jobs given to competent people who want to work.

First visit here for a routine appointment. Parking was ok although typical of hospitals these days, can get rather pricey if you stay too long. There's plenty of maps around the site showing the various locations (coloured zones, entrance locations etc) but the maps I saw aren't orientated as you look at them (so they can be rather confusing to navigate your way around here!) Would have been helpful having the map showing the location (colour) of the appointment building beforehand (or an online reference pdf to download)? Nevertheless, was on time for the appointment, staff were absolutely superb, seen within minutes & out of the car park all within half an hour & zero charge!
In all, a great first experience. ?
