Having finally got my mum to accept a carer going in once a week, things deteriorated quickly with her health, but Home Instead were absolutely brilliant at every stage, putting extra care in quickly at short notice, and souring a care home when mum needed respite when she could not be looked after safely at home. The managers kept us informed at every stage about everything, the app gave us security with detailed info on every care visit, it took so much stress away from us, given that we were 2 hours away. The carers are now providing companionship in the care home as Mum will probably not now be going home, but knowing she is getting such personal one to one support with people she now knows (and trusts) is such a source of comfort for us. Could not recommend Home Instead more.

Home Instead in Taunton have been quite simply outstanding in their support of my parents over the last 7 years. Initially providing support for my mother who was living with dementia, Home Instead knew exactly how to make life easier for my father and more rewarding for my mother. This allowed the family to create many treasured memories.

Over the last 3 years, my father has been able to live independently at home (despite increasing mobility issues) much longer than I had thought possible. There is no doubt that my father was able to rely totally on Home Instead and he would often tell me that he could not have lived at home without their incredible care and compassion. I would not hesitate to recommend Home Instead to anyone who is looking for care at home in the Taunton area.

Mum's small team of caregivers were second to none and at all times provided professional, compassionate care. Friendly helpful caregivers who work hard. It's excellent that there is a minimum of 1 hour per visit so no rush and they don't wear uniforms which is much more personal. There is quite a lot of churn in the office staff but they are all very helpful and Home Instead are very accommodating and flexible in requests. Probably the most useful aspect about this company is the wide variety of things they can do for your relative - not just personal care but cleaning or shopping or cooking or helping with the rubbish or taking your relative to appointments. Home instead in Taunton also use an app which relatives can put on their phone and they get daily updates from carers. This is brilliant if you live some distance away.
Thank you Home Instead, you have made the last couple of years much easier.

My sister and I can't thank Home Instead enough. Sadly, our dad passed away suddenly in September. He had been caring for mum superbly. We were faced not only with the shock and grief of losing our dear dad but also how mum was going to be cared for. To be honest, we were completely overwhelmed by the situation we found ourselves in. We contacted Home Instead and explained our situation. They were superb; they managed to get caregivers in extremely quickly and without much notice. This gave us the time and space to sort out all that we needed to in terms of dad's passing. Very quickly, it became patently obvious that we'd made the best decision we could have made, not only for us, but for mum too. Each and every caregiver has been amazing with mum; their genuine care and compassion has taken away a huge burden of worry from us. Simply put, the ladies who come are wonderful and we know that when we are not with mum, we don't need to worry as we know she is in safe, caring hands. Mum looks forward to the ladies coming...we do too. Thank you Home Instead for being there for mum when we can't.
