I came to Ruth on edge and anxious, feeling unable to cope with the demands of my work and home life. Ruth immediately put me at ease with her calm and understanding manner. Through a combination of talking and hypnotherapy she enabled me to recognise my unhelpful behaviours and replace them with tools and manageable exercises.
After each session my confidence grew and I felt calmer, more able to cope and even laugh at life's obstacles. I'm so grateful to have worked with Ruth and will continue to recommend her amazing services.

Ruth is such an easy and approachable person to talk to an open up about any issues or anxieties you may have. I’ve had many sessions with her which have helped me a lot and through hypnotherapy and other methods have made a big change in how I see and deal with all different situations in my life. I went to see Ruth in October 2017 after I had been suffering from work related stress and anxiety. From the first moment she opened the door I felt immediately welcomed and supported. Ruth’s easy and empathetic nature helped to put me at ease during the psychotherapy session and she taught me some practical techniques for coping with my stress and anxiety which I still use today.

I decided to opt for two further hypnotherapy sessions which I believe were the turning point in my recovery. I’d never had hypnotherapy before and I will say that you are in control the whole time while Ruth expertly guides you to work on the things you want to. I still use those phrases we worked on in my day to day life and it has helped me stay on top of things.

I have already recommended Ruth to friends and I would have no hesitation in recommending her to others. With Ruth you are in a safe and caring pair of hands.

I contacted Ruth to get some help coping with my anxieties. After emailing we set up a phone call so we could have a chat about what I was looking for and if she could help, this was very useful. I had a few appointments and from day 1 I felt very at ease with Ruth. She gave my several coping strategies and never made me feel like helping me was a problem making it clear that if I needed help I could contact her. Would defiantly recommend her.

Both my boys (aged 11 and 13) have benefitted hugely from a few sessions with Holistic Health York. In both cases I noticed changes in their behaviour and after some discussion they revealed issues associated with growing up and learning to socialise. As their mum, I felt that my support wasn't enough. Working with Holistic Health York they developed strategies for handling different situations and after only a few sessions they admitted to feeling much happier in themselves and able to deal with the day to day.
