I was recently added to the waiting list, but the lovely receptionist said that they will do emergency treatment and repairs as needed. The receptionist is very friendly and helpful and is clearly very much a peoples person, i cant fault the dentist and his assistant as i am over the moon with the treatment/repair i received at such short notice on new years eve.

Was so happy to finally get myself and my son registered with a dentists. Even happier to discover what a fantastic practice this is. I am a nervous patient, due to some bad dentistry years ago. Victoria was great, put me at ease, and had work done on first visit. In the past I've only had work done under sedation. Honestly cannot recommend this practice highly enough.

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to Mathew and his assistant (sorry didn’t catch your name) this is my second visit to the practice and I was made to feel at ease! Very patient and understanding to my fear. Nearly didn’t go back due to first dentist not being any of the above but so pleased I did. If anybody who is petrified of dentists please try to get Mathew, I’m no longer as scared and don’t actually mind having to go back now for a filling knowing it won’t be (too) bad!

Amazing staff and service. Dr Makhani has been great, i have needed alot of work done and a very nervous patient. Think its fair to say he has cured my anxiety of dentists, very reassuring and explains the process as he goes. Very fair price for private and has saved my smile. Forever grateful thank you.

Hi, my name is Tony, i recently had to give up my business to care for my dad full time. I have been very busy catching up with alot of appointments he couldn't book or do on his own. Personally i have never stood foot in a dentist ever before and had to find and register my dad and also book an emergency appointment. I tried for 2 days ringing around, 1st day was from dentist off a google search and 2nd day ringing through the list of outdated onlin NHS search service.
Eventually late afternoon i spoke to a helpful receptionist Highgate House Dental Practice that would take my dad, an NHS patient intitled to free dental treatment and she also managed to book an emergency appointment today dated Saturday 4th March 2023.
I had been sent registration paper that i had fill in, complete prior to the oppointment.

Upon arrival my first impressions was good, little hard to find, not many signs, we had went around the wrong side, there is a sign but very worn, no signs or arrow symbol signs to say this way. Not really an issue but something that could help someone that has not been before.

The receptionist was very polite, however when we were called in to the room. The dentist made it very clear that we aren't allowed to register hear as he is not taking anymore NHS patients and that he is only seeing my dad today because he doesn't like to leave people in pain.

He said i would have to find somewhere else to register, i mentioned that i have already done the paperwork and that he was the only one i had managed to find on the NHS website taking on NHS Patients and i called to confirm.
He did not seem very happy and explained that he has taken on 2500 NHS Patients and he does not like NHS patients.
I found my self getting very in annoyed but did not want to say anything as he was currently opperation on my dads tooth, i felt if i mentioned anything negative against his comments they he may get angry and rough during the extraction.

He also mentioned that he has to see around 20 NHS patients for the same financial income as x2 private customers.

So yeah, i felt small and my dad was asking questions trying to understand what he was saying and why isn't he allowed there.

He also mentioned that he would see us only see us again if it was and emergency, he does not like NHS patients and it wasn't so much the NHS but the government responsible for am guessing how much he earns from a NHS patient.

I understand this price list, financial income may be a big difference compared to private and NHS, but thats simple, dont take NHS patients, stick to just your private patient if it is not your price expectations. Dont make people feel small and unwanted.

Thanks for seeing my dad and am leaving better then a 1 start because your receptionists was very polite and helpful.

My dad is devistated. Getting his tooth pulled was a bad enough thought, now he is feeling down. Thanks alot

Excellent reception staff and really nice dentists and nurses.
I've had quite a bit of treatment so far and am thoroughly impressed with their professionalism and manner.
I would like to single out Mathew as someone who really does do everything to put you at ease.
