Gone completely down hill since the pandemic, note other reviews with all the same issues. No one answers the phone regardless of what time you ring, I’ve waited from eighth in the queue to just sitting as first in the queue for over 30 minutes time and time again. Reception staff seem dismissive and rude in person. I’ve had repeat prescriptions removed from my medication list to save on costs, other repeat medication I’ve been on for 5 years I’m now unable to order unless I speak to a GP….. next appointment (telephone of course) one month away. Message when booking a telephone call - please disregard the time you are booking you will be called any time during the day ….

Update - Nov 24 they now offer a telephone call back service in the queue and they rang me back within 10 mins without having to wait on hold. Much much better feels like things have improved with the surgery.

Words cannot describe how grateful I am to Dr Anna Craggs for the outstanding care she provided me, and the rest of the team at Highcliffe medical practice for getting me seen so quickly at the surgery and hospital. I phoned in the early afternoon of 22.08.24 regarding my BP, plus some other symptoms. Dr Craggs suspected IIH, and during my appointment contacted SDEC at Bournemouth Hospital, and I was seen the next day. I underwent some tests, and was then referred to the ophthalmologist in Bournemouth hospital whom also suspected IIH. Yesterday 27.08.24 I was then referred back to SDEC who then performed a Lumbar Puncture which then confirmed the diagnosis of IIH. So to cut the long story short, I went to the GP for something I thought was nothing, but it turned out to be something I didn’t know I had! I can finally have some relief for something that has been controlling my life for as long as I can remember, so for that I am forever grateful.
Thank you so much,
Leanna Crabb

Sadly I've changed my review.
I feel the surgery has taken on too many patients. The queues are awful to get through when you actually need to see someone. When you ask for a callback after waiting so long it either cuts off when you pick up or it doesn't ring through and they leave a voicemail. You then have to call through again which takes sometimes over an hour to speak to reception to then ask them to call you again even though you've been by your phone the whole time waiting for that call and didn't miss it! This has happened so many times that unfortunately due to how hard it is to get an appointment and get through to the surgery I wouldn't recommend. Maybe this may change again who knows

Been unwell and off work for 3 weeks with virus, respiratory tract infection, first 2 appointments with nurses, very nice managed to get aa appointment with GP today albeit under duress, felt really uncomfortable, was in surgery all of 2 minute's, she didn't sit and left the surgery before me speaking with her back to me to pick up prescription so so rude. I've had some great care from this practice but worry what the future holds in our NHS.

Hilarious response to giving you 1 star ? you couldn't even make it up !!

UPDATED

I now leave 1 star, to be honest would have left none if was an option.
As advised yesterday called back to request a doctor's visit for my Mum as advised could only book a visit on the day and was told I would have to go on a waiting list to be called back from someone to see if a visit can be arranged.

So they call a relative to say near end of life, leave them in a care home where they are not eating or drinking with a chest infection. I contact them to say her leg hurts after a fall Tuesday and suddenly I have to beg for a doctor to visit my Mum who is sufferibg with dementia.

Just a r eminder doctors DUTYOF CARE !!!!!!!

I am not a patient at this doctors but they are the surgery used for the care home my Mum is in. I had to speak to the receptionist today on behalf of my Mum. All I can say is WOW, the receptionist was amazing. Not only did the lovely receptionist I was speaking to go above and beyond to help me, the support and empathy that she showed me was amazing. I could also hear the other receptionist talking to the people coming in, again amazing customer service, so kind and so respectful. Thank you so much for all your kindness and support today . I can tell you the people of Highcliffe from someone from Poole I am so jealous that you have a surgery like this. You are truly lucky.

An all round terrible place. They don't call you when they say they will, 6 weeks for an appointment. The dvla are still waiting for them to send the forms back, 3 months later because the doctor filled them out wrong. You won't get any worse surgery than this
