Liked: Beautiful site. The facilities were well set-up and kept very clean and well stocked. (I do agree with some of the other reviews that they could use a few more toilets/showers - but I can't fault what was there at all!) Ellie was very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed the farm dogs as well. We had an electric pitch which was nice and flat and the pitches are a really great size. And having the space between pitches was a really nice touch. It is definitely on our "will visit again" list! We also attended the Wild Sauna while we were there which was lovely.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike.

Liked: This is a beautiful location, next to nature in a lovely clean set up, with beautiful views.
I loved the fact you couod hear farmyard animals in the surrounding fields. The site owner is very pleasant and helpful, we definitely plan to revisit.

Disliked: Not a dislike as such but we found the electric box wasn't equidistant between pitches so our electric lead wasn't really long enough. We sorted this by strategically pitching the tent. Not a major issue, we've now bought an extension lead to prevent ant future occurrenceson other pitches.

Liked: The campsite was easy to find and had all the amenities we could need for a weekend away! The toilets / showers / washing up area were always clean and tidy and was well lit at night time. The pitches were spacious and clean and easy to find.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and gave some great recommendations for local walks and places to eat or drink.

Absolutely super little campsite. Totally hidden away with fabulous views. Very friendly welcome from Ellie and very nice clean showers and toilets. We took our campervan and had an electric hook up pitch and also hired the pre erected glamping tent for our daughter and grandkids. The tent was very well equipped and had very comfy beds. Thank you Ellie. We had a super couple of days.

Liked: Hidden Hideaway was a peaceful, relaxing mini break for myself and my 5 year old son. With beautiful views all round, open fields and plenty of fresh air.
We stayed in the safari tent, which was very clean and spacious. It had everything we needed to be comfortable, warm and have a great nights sleep.
Noise level and space on site was brilliant but then there was only one other tent there both nights so I can't comment once site is full.
Toilet/shower/washing up facilities were very clean and had everything you needed (again not sure when site is full)
The owner came to speak to us to see how we had settled in, she was lovely and very friendly. All in all we had a great stay Thank you

Disliked: Would have liked a toilet closer to the safari tent, I didn't really like leaving my son asleep alone whilst I walked the other side of the field to use the facilities.
Probably abit to remote for a 5 year old to walk off site anywhere but that's personal preference

Liked: Lovely large pitches on a peaceful small site. Only approx. 12 pitches, which even though nearly full it was never loud. The facilities were well kept and Ellie is always on hand if you need anything. Perfectly placed near Rutland's beautiful villages and Rutland Water is a must, so much on offer. Foxton Locks also very close by. We were there during a heatwave and spent more time at the site than we normally would but this was so peaceful and relaxing. Only leaving a good review because they deserve it, otherwise I'd be keeping it a hidden secret for when we return, which we will be doing asap. Ellie's dogs were a lovely addition to our break - two gorgeous labradors that made friends with ours and made her stay.

Disliked: Nothing. can't wait to return

Liked: Very clean showers and beautiful views. Quiet and peaceful campsite. Generous size pitches.

Disliked: Half of the campsite is on a slope and we were the 50% unlucky ones. Although the pitches are generous, it's impossible to position your tent for a comfortable sleeping position. Things were sliding off the tables at breakfast, we were sliding off the mattresses at night. We would not come back again unless allocated a level pitch, otherwise no complaints.

From the moment we arrived, we knew that Hidden Hideaway Glamping was something extra special. Not only because its set within such a stunning mixed land of farm/meadow/woods, but also because of the service we recieved. We were greated as VIPs, and our stay lived up to the hype until the moment we all drove away, waving to our temporary slice of paradise. We stayed in the Pheasant Safari Tent, which felt luxurious, elevated, and truly special, whilst still keeping that back to basics immersion in nature and connection to a simple life that we love about camping. Ellie was an incredible host. She went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Everything had been thought about, even things that we ourselves wouldn't have thought through! And even though the space was perfectly laid out for family holidays, my partner and I were trying to work out a way we could return without the kids! We're still landing from our perfect break in the Safari tent, and can't wait to return 🥰
