Grumpy and unhappy professionals there, receptionists, and doctors. If they are not happy there, they should find another job, they are dealing with people, not machines, poorly people who deserve more sympathy.

Thought I'd update the review:

It's been ten months since my review and nothing is better. Appointments online do not exist apart from smear tests and flu jabs.

The surgery doesn't tell you when you need a checkup to continue issuing your medication. So you'll only find out your medication is stopped when you need to request more. This is DANGEROUS.

I rely on medication to keep me out of psychosis and keep my head in check.

I've had many frantic calls asking to sort my medication as the website says I need an appointment. This is impossible to sort.

This wastes my time when I'm at work trying to sort this. My last GP practice was able to at least have the decency to send a letter when my medication needs a review and at times would book an appointment so I didn't run out of medication.

I talked to someone at reception on this matter and just got a scoff and was treated like a child over the phone.

When I can, I'll be moving elsewhere. This place doesn't care at all.

My mum has been thru hell and back with health issues the last two years and has my mums carer and son i have had to visit this surgery on her behalf to arrange help and check ups etc because my mum is housebound. My mum was upset by a doctor who accused my mum of eating cakes and sweets all because she has not checked her blood sugar levels recently. I go to the surgery to ask if a different doctor can phone my mum to explain a few things that we need help with and the receptionist said in a angry tone WHAT IS THE PROBLEM, i tried to explain and after a few words she said YOUR MUM HAS SPOKEN TO DOCTORS RECENTLY WHAT IS HER PROBLEM. i tried to explain again but she walked off and left m query to a receptionist who seemed nice and helpful but looked new and prob intimidated b the other senior worker. Now i feel awkward to ask for help incase i i have to speak to the rude recptionist.

honestly in the last two years i have spoken to some decent receptionist here and a doctor called joy/joyce is really nice but apart from that it is always a horrid experience speaking with doctors here. I wish i could speak to a doctor from here and explain why things are so bad and what they could do to improve

If you can drive to another practice, I'd say you do it!!! I wish I could...
It works like that here: you try to call them at 8am... usually 30+ in the queue, if the line doesn't get cut off. You accept a call back and they call you at 10am saying a GP will call you before 5pm. At 2-4 pm you receive the call from the GP saying you can keep coughing after 3 continuous days& nights with no sleep, and keep vomiting for 1 week before they can book you in for another consultation. Or you can go to the walk-in center.
For children is slightly different: if you get the line at 8am, they call you in for 3-5pm...
Or in both cases, if you call them any time after 8.30am, you are sent straight to the walk-in center, because they booked the day already.
Couldn't get 1 appointment in 6 months, having 2 small children and having needed them to be seen abou 4 times already, and myself 1 time.

1 star is the minimum you can give, it would be zero stars.
My wife has been trying to get through to make an appointment but after countless attempts and "all the lines being engaged" followed by 2 hours of being on hold. She finally gave up.
The receptionist need to start doing their jobs properly and answer the phones in a polite manner instead of sitting around tossing the job off drinking tea/coffee on the tax payers time, The Nurses are great and the Doctors are not too bad, it's just getting the receptionist to answer the phone and give you an appointment...

Absolutely disgraceful place!! Removed a cancer patient from their patient records leaving him with needed prescriptions unauthorised and unprocessed.
None of the receptionists seem to be able to do a simple job without 1, 2 or even 3 other receptionists getting involved in the conversation, even after being told that this patient has very sensitive issues and at times embarrassing they don't care, they seem to think they have all the medical training when in fact they know naff all about anything especially respect for patients, avoid dark haired receptionist at all costs .
Also avoid if you need stitches or staples removing after surgery as they will take them out regardless of weather they are ready or not, this is not a one off occurrence as they have done this 3 times with the same patient ending up in icu each time as wounds as big as up to 30cm in length have burst open, this place needs closing down ASAP!! And staff need to be held accountable!

Absolutely pathetic surgery. Called at exactly 8.00am to the second and was put 14th in line to then be told there were no more appointments left for the day.
If this is your surgery I recommend you don't get ill.
