Its always had a bad rep this place with local people, i remember one Doctor i saw there, a Dr Cumming, a female Dr who i was forced to see when i had kidney stones some years ago. Cummings would give Dr Mengele a run for his, horrendous woman

Absolutely shocking, called them with issues mental health related, fobbed me off and told to dial 111, doctors fully aware of my condition and advised me to call back if anything changes. Complete lack of care in emergency situations, was advised to attend a and e, no wonder the hospitals are breaking.

They need to realise some people are not capable of calling at 07:59 and 59 seconds to get an appointment, mental health causes serious issues with sleep and lack of motivation. There should be some leniency for appointment booking.

I’m changing doctors today for myself, daughter and partner as this is not the first time they have let me down.

Last time they didn’t bother to send an important hospital referral, it was only when I chased it with them 3 times, that they apologised and said they had not sent it.

Stay away if you care about your health.

The entire practice should be closed and every employee terminated from NHS payroll. It’s impossible to ever get an appointment, any day you call needs to be first thing and you’ll be 30-40 in a queue, before they tend to just disconnect the lines. In four years me and partner have only had 2 doctors appointments, today it was urgent as they’ve prescribed something wrong so I walked up to the doctors directly to speak to someone and through the windows you can see the receptionists and a nurse - with cups of tea, the phone lines disconnected, chatting and laughing.

An absolute disgrace. They should all be ashamed and struck off.

It’s nearly impossible to get appointment over the phone. I m sorry but I had to tell doctor who have seen my 15 months old had absolutely no clue .my daughter was unwell and chesty ,sore throat .doctor even didn’t check temperature.and for checking her mouth did not had equipment check her throat with only stick what he managed to see didn’t know keep saying he is not worry children do get viral infection in winter but we had explained him that this doesn’t seems viral but he didn’t prescribe anything.we knew our daughter was not looking good at home check temperature she had temperature.we took her to another doctor and got antibiotics.please send doctors for training they don’t take things seriously as that doctor should know bacterial infection can lead to further complications.specially pneumonia, meningitis
I did not like the way he was keep saying he is not worry ,why would you worry ,was not your child
Also both female receptionist are very rude and it’s hard with them to get appointment if they pick the call .
If you see doctor and need referrals to other departments they usually forget to send referrals.its happened with me few occasions forget my gynaecology referral wait one year thinking that I m already referred but when chase up find out nothing done then forget to send my daughter ophthalmology referral wait nine months thinking my daughter will get call from ophthalmology department when chase up myself they told not receive any referral.
Extremely poor service phone numerous time to get vaccination appointment literally refused by recipients said need to ring after a month told them I am shielding and receive letter to get vaccine as soon as possible but still refused.

Classic example of the ever growing trend of GPs focusing more on private patients rather than their NHS ones. Gleefully exploiting the opportunity increasing privatisation has opened up to make a killing. Doctors are scarcely there. They are usually elsewhere doing private consultation. In their place, they hire sone Rottweiler reception staff to scare off the most vulnerable and presume to decide over the phone with no medical experience which callers are worthy of passing attention from a doctor.

Just run and find a different doctor this place dosen't care about there Patient at all.

The Receptionist are just a hole different story they are the worst they always say that there isn't any appointment left so when you say I need one, they magically have one just opened up! When I was pregnant with my second I ketped say my leg was really hurting and burning they just said rest, relax....no it was a blood clot but they didn't care after I told them that I am now going to the hospital for everything appointment now.

If you have children or more specifically newborn babies I urge you to find another surgery!

My little boy has been left suffering for weeks (from 3 weeks old) with Reflux. Prescribed Gaviscon after my first phone call to the GP and wasnt even asked how much he weighs as the dose goes off babies weight!

Rang a week later after an A&E visit (attended as advised by 111) to tell the GP the gaviscon was doing nothing and my son was now having what looked like seizures - the GP told me to continue with Gaviscon and he would refer to a paediatrician. No interest or concern for my son and no urgency in getting to the route of the cause or requesting an EEG be done to rule out epilepsy!

My health visitor rang yesterday and spoke to them on my behalf to make sure my son was prescribed a different medication as it wasnt being taken seriously. I followed this up today as our health visitor is off now until next week.

I had to keep ringing back as it hadnt been done. Eventually the receptionist (by no fault of her own) rang asking me to ring at 8am to request a phone consultation! Why? To explain what has already been explained to the GP by myself a number of times and my health visitor too? Do I have to take my son to A&E again to be taken seriously?! He is potentially having seizures and the GPs at this surgery couldnt care less.

I'm now having to wait another day to find out if we are able to try new medication. I am a Nurse myself and feel massively let down by them, I would never treat a patient let alone a baby in this way.

Any surgery that can treat potential seizures in a newborn as well as the pain being suffered on a daily basis with such lack of care or urgency is a major cause for concern.

I have trying to get a GP appointment for THREE DAYS! I had to go to the A&E walk in centre at Tameside Hospital on Monday after failing to get an appointment. I then tried to get a follow up appointment on Tuesday, and again today (Wednesday), I was told to access an appointment on the Engage Patient Access website.
I am still waiting for an e-mail to provide a link which will enable me to reset a password!?
