On the phone for over an hour trying to get through to be told to call back in the morning. Something is very wrong with their phone lines, cutting out all the time and having to ring back again.

Reception staff have also been rude and dismissive when I speak with compassion and care as I understand it can be a hard job. One woman won't get off her chair when you talk to them through the glass which is very embarrassing with a waiting room full of people hearing what you say as you have to basically shout across at her.

Yes the staff are pushed to their full potential, undoubtedly they have very difficult situations and patients to deal with daily. Occasionally there is a slightly un-empathetic response from the reception team but I know how much strain they are under and are fielding difficult situations by the minute.
The medical staff are outstanding, in particular Dr Ferrier who looks after 3 generations of my family. She always goes above and beyond her remit as a GP, incredibly knowledgeable, caring and compassionate and most importantly listens. This is why having small GP surgeries are so important, there is continuity of care where Doctors know their patients by name.

AVOID THIS PRACTICE LIKE THE PLAGUE.
This practice is absolutely diabolical and should be shut down by the NHS. If I could give minus stars I would. The reception and dispensary staff are arrogant, rude and unhelpful. The office manager is totally incompetent. The prescription delivery man is aggressive and abusive so much so that I had to report him to the police. The doctors are a disgrace. I had one doctor who lied point blank to my face concerning a letter that was sent to them from another doctor. I have complex medical issues and there was no duty of care offered by any member of their staff apart from the dispensary manager Anastasia. After over two years and a catalogue of shockingly bad incidents, oversights and mis-management, I moved surgeries when I was told quite by accident that the surgery had been treating me WITHOUT having any of my medical records for my previous practice of 35 years. If that’s not enough to make you run for the hills…five months after leaving this practice one of their doctors filled out two prescriptions for me and forwarded them on to an external prescription delivery service. One prescription was sleeping tablets the other was heavy duty pain medication! I’m not even their patient! How is that even possible?

I think when you review a GP surgery, you need to be telling others about the most important part, which is how you are treated by the GP and their abilities. I get that sometimes you wait for longer than you want to but that's life when GP's are dealing with patients as they are all different and do not all fit into a 10 minute appointment. In addition, if you are late I think it is important that the GP does nt rush you out the door to catch up. All I can say is the 2 GP partners Dr Allen and Gee have been absolutely awesome any time my family of I have seen them and lead by example. They are both very knowledgable, experienced, empathetic and caring and I could not ask for more from my family GP service.

Like most NHS facilities, they’ve done a pretty good job of erecting razor wire fencing to make the place pretty much inaccessible. Tried to get repeat prescriptions mailed by another provider. Harston surgery were having none of it - responding with a rude, aggressive text. I persevered & it paid off. A Pillsorted van pulled up today & dropped off the prescription. Happy days. An excellent solution if you want to avoid the razor wire & queue at Harston dispensary!😀

It's 12.11 I have been number 1 in the call queue to get an appointment for over 30 minutes. My lunch break is now over. I think no-one is around the phones

I've ordered my repeated prescription as I do every month to get a monthly supply. This time though I needed the supply to last me for three months as I'll be out of the country. Instead of charging me for one NHS charge, the dispensary charged me for three charges! Very cheeky.

When I started taking this medicine the specialist at the hospital prescriped me with the same medicine for the first three months and at the hospital's pharmacy they didn't bat an eyelid and charged me for one charge.

This practice has a young man on reception who is arrogant and rude and hangs up on clients.
After being ninth in the telephone queue and waiting 22 minutes to speak to anyone, this young man offered me a telephone consultation with a doctor at comberton at 7pm. I tried to explain that I needed to see a doctor in person , but he didn’t let me get far enough to explain that I needed a doctors signature which you can’t get over the phone. He asked if I “wanted the telephone appointment or not” . When I tried to explain he said “last chance” then hung up on me. Unbelievable!
