Great DIY hardware store and I've been a few times and yet to be disappointed. It's the same distance to Lincoln as it is to Woodhall but I prefer to shop here. Staff are always friendly, polite and always very helpful. It's amazing the amount and varied stuff they have.
Also there's a free carpark opposite so a quick stop can be had 😁👍

Not an option, but ZERO STARS.
I have in the past 12 years been served by a very nice gentleman, however today was totally different. I was served by a very unhelpful, rude woman who claims to be the manager and owner (obviously not qualified in how to treat her loyal, local customers!!) She had the brass neck to call me an "Awkward Customer" simply because I found a product that she claimed they didn't have, I was really chuffed that I found it, but she was angry because she just couldn't be bothered to help. Her attitude from the get go was very negative, I am not one to complain (as anyone who knows me will tell you), but I have never been treated so badly by a sales person in my 69 years. 😳
If you enter this shop and there is a gentleman behind the counter serving you are lucky ☺️, however if you enter and it's a woman behind the counter claiming to serve, RUN.!! 😳 If I'd had the forethought to read the reviews earlier I would have known, I am not the only customer she's been rude and abrupt with.

0 stars if possible. Absolutely appalling treatment here today, took in a small item with the receipt that was clearly faulty had broken within 2 weeks. Female staff member very aggressive straight off, she point blank refused to refund implying we'd broken it! We hadn't. Asked to speak with manager she is it! We expressed what a joke the customer service here is as so shocked. Recommendation boycott this shop if this is shoddy, unfair level of service you get. If a product is faulty under consumer law you are entitled to a refund but clearly not here! Will never shop there again and suggest the other hardware shop in village really helpful and friendly guy there.

At first I thought the older gentlemen was extremely helpful and helped to find what I was looking for. Unfortunately the next day I had to take something back as it was not fit for purpose, I popped back to the shop to explain everything and the younger man made me feel extremely uncomfortable in front of several other customers along with the gentlemen that helped me the previous day. I'm not one to complain and considering what I'd bought was for my son for cub camping that would have needed to be used over and over I felt that they could have been more understanding. Reluctantly he eventually gave me a refund which he then commented on saying that he wouldn't put the money back on my card as it would cost him even more money!!

I'd give 0 stars if I could. Very rude staff member refusing service because I couldn't prove my exemption of a mask. I think someone needs educating in customer service and with regards to the exemptions!
No one has to prove their exemption and especially not to a rude woman who thinks she knows best...

I wouldn't have minded had she have asked without the attitude.

Helpful memeber of staff on 1st visit, but after i found the product unsuitable the 2nd visit was a very diffrent experience! Prickly, defensive and argumentative. Tried extremely hard not to give me a refund but then after much toing and froing gave me a store credit. After I've found something to spend the credit on, I'm afraid I will not be using my local hardware store again. B&Q, Homebase, Amazon will be my next stop. Cheaper goods, no quibble CASH refunds. Shame.
