Excellent care, had scans, X-rays, blood tests, saw consultants and doctors, all investigations done in the one visit. We’re given coffee, sandwiches and staff very friendly and as cooperative as could wish for.
Main portion of stay was waiting in imaging dept/radiography which s-dec have no control over waiting periods.
Very grateful for all they’ve done.

If I could put zero I’d do it! Been here twice in teh last five months, once with my youngest and again yesterday with my eldest. I won’t be touching thsi place ever AGAIN. Both times we’ve been for sickness that not stopped in over 30-48 hours. Both times with children under 3. And both times been stuck in a side room and utterly forgotten about and ignored to the point where they only pay attention because I say I’m gonna go somewhere else and discharge my child! The staff are all rude, rushing, sharp and don’t even try to interact with the child the only staff that were brilliant we’re the ambulance staff.

Yesterday it took from 11:30am till 6pm to see the doctor. After a child of age 2 hadn’t kept anything down for almost 48 hours and was really unwell, high temp. Sugars super low etc… every time I moaned or said what is going on they had the excuse do we’re busy, short staffed, we will get to you eventually blah blah blah.

Honestly, dispose this place now and I’m sick of them being so useless with children such an absolute joke of a place. Sort it out!!!

Been here twice and both times were awful. First time was with my 3 DAY OLD baby who had suspected sepsis, we were left waiting about 6 hours before being seen. Once we were finally seen we were sent straight upstairs and had to stay in hospital for 4 nights because he was seriously ill. Yesterday I was in with my 7 month old who had swallowed something possibly toxic, referred in by 111. After 4 hours without even being seen by triage, I asked the receptionist if she knew how long it would be and she couldn’t even find our name on the list so I’m almost certain she’d forgotten we were there, and she said we’re next to be seen. 45 minutes later we still hadn’t been seen. I asked again and got shrugged off, I’ve never met a more rude or dismissive receptionist. I told her that I was going to take my son home and if he gets sick over night I’ll call an ambulance or take him in and she didn’t respond. So we got home and 2 hours later we got a rude phone call from a nurse asking why we had taken him home without telling anyone, even though we had told reception. In the whole time I was there, nothing in the waiting rooms was cleaned. There were kids being sick, clearly very ill and not even a packet of wipes to clean the seats.
The kids waiting room joins onto the triage room and all we could hear in between patients was the nurse and support worker chatting and laughing away about their weekend plans and how they like their coffee, which just made the waiting even worse. All round very badly managed place with a horribly rude receptionist.
