harlow council finally got round to do my fire test for my 2 bed flat today, 30 seconds in and out didnt test any of the alarms just saw that they were present, is this how the council treat our safety now COWBOYS!!!!! , i really feel for harlow tenents living in tower blocks as ours is only a 4 floor block

Credit where due, I must say the dealings I've had with Harlow council have always been handled swiftly and professionally at their end. I recently applied for a garage and was offered one in a matter of weeks. The staff were very helpful, particularly Hayley who dealt with my queries extremely quickly and politely.

went in here for first time since covid yesterday and what a shock! reception staff attitudes very poor with zero people skills, very rude and felt like she couldnt be bothered to help, only person wearing a smile and no attitude was the security guard, what a nice person he is, shocked to see people who need practical help with forms council tax etc cannot get the help anymore as the council have got rid of it all, cant even go in and pay for anything anymore as that's gone aswell, people relied on this service like myself, and many more. it used to be a very nice helpful place what a shame.

There seems to be ongoing issues with rubbish collection and they’re often missed or the drivers are extremely picky and look for any reason to not collect. Collections are also done very late in the mornings and sometimes early afternoons. Roads are full of potholes in Harlow. It’s very difficult getting through to someone and when I do complete online forms, I often don’t hear back from anyone.

Friday after Bank Holiday and bins are to be collected. Left our general waste out with everyone else's and it didn't get collected. After working our way through an unclear survey online we thought we had organised for the issue to be rectified. There was no instructions on what we should be doing or when the bins would get collected again. After a few days past, we gave the council a phone call, where we were told that our already full general waste bin would have to wait a further two weeks and any extra bags would not be collected. I don't think this is acceptable as we had left the bins out for collection in the first place and was the bin collectors mistake to make right.

The staff need training to help them deal with bereavement. I felt I was very poorly treated regarding my late husband.
Trying to change name details on the garage rental was very upsetting and unpleasant.
