Really disappointed in the care I’ve witnessed of my grandmother. Small meals and lack of care given to residents no basic hygiene reminders for the residents such as brushing teeth. No windows are ever open and there seems to never be any staff actively with the residents always seem to be hidden in an office. Following this there is strong smell of urine throughout the buildings, I am used to smelling a bit throughout a care home but never to this extent. My grandmother has deteriorated massively since she first joined.

My grandmother was placed in Haven Lodge under an emergency situation in May due to her carers arranged by the local council not turning up.
I made the phone call asking for help and by the next afternoon a home visit/assessment had taken place and she was in the home and comfortable.
The staff are excellent, it was clear from day one that this is not just a job to them and they knew all of the families names and could not have been more welcome or in tune with the residents needs.
The bedrooms can be decorated and styled as needed/preferred by the resident.
The food is fresh and home cooked every meal.
The home was sparkling clean.
Always something going on to keep the residents involved and active.
All in all a great home but a special thankyou to the staff who did all they could to help not just my grandma but all members of the family in what was a stressful time for all. Jade, Eva and Sam are nothing short of heroes

Recently my uncle was at the home. Only for a few weeks but they made him feel so welcome. Staff really are lovely and ensured he was cared for. It was for respite but I’m sure he’ll go back again when he needs too
