Don't use this company end of! Ive given them chance after chance to sort out mums care on an adequate basis. Mum is over 100yrs old and disabled. The time slot for her to be helped out of bed is 8.30. We recently asked if this time could be changed and was told no. Mums care is based kn a visit 3 times per day Tues to Thurs only and twice per day Fri to and inc Monday.
This week so far the team arrived at least 40 mins late. Last week it was 1 and half hours late twice in the same week. On past occasions mum had been left with wet bedding, regularly fed soup instead of meals and other problems. The time is the main thing with this company. Mum has bed sores as she's in a chair all day and when she's left on wet bedding her sores get much worse. At rhe moment we have to use this company as it was arranged through the council. Its not free either we have to pay approx half the cost! Do yourself a favour and look somewhere else as the service provided by this company is diabolical. The reviews should tell you how bad they are!

Bullying office staff, I came out of hospital, next thing I arranged next time to come completely ignored did what they wanted I cancelled again this morning another phone call to try to bully me. I swear any carers turn I'm ringing the police for harassment

Would give zero stars if could. Office staff very unprofessional, have been trying to get a reference for a former staff member for two weeks, they keep saying the person's dealing with references is either away, in a meeting, on annual leave or their dog died.
It is affecting the person who's trying to get a job elsewhere- they cannot start the new job without a reference, so they are left without work, only because the office staff cannot be bothered to reply to numerous emails.
If the company looks after people the same way they look after their staff, I feel sorry for the service users as this kind of unprofessional approach is appalling.

Anyone who has family with cowboy company go and check that they are OK as I would not trust this joke of a company as far as i could throw them , 1st of All alot of the reviews on here are by staff or ex staff members who think they are amazing well here is the real truth

The carers who work for hales don't turn up on time turn up when they feel like it , don't do what they are asked by the people who they provide care for , they don't have a clue on cooking and what really puts the icing on the cake they don't know how to ring nhs direct when a client is getting poorly or tell when someone is poorly , the carers don't care how they speak to clients in there own home happy to swear at them , then we get onto the management who do not deal with complaints when they are raised no matter how. any time you contact them you are told someone will ring you back regarding them and it never happened how the people who you ask to speak to never call you back ,
I really don't understand one how a company can operate like this and also how the care and quality commission are allowing this to happen

So like a said at the beginning if you have loved ones with this company go and see they are OK ASAP

This company isn't good for service users. If you want your family members, friends and relatives in good environment then don't go for this company. I would rackon 0🌟.

I would give them less i would not let these look after themselves..got proof these are no good avoid wi caution..SAFE GAURDING WITH THIS COMPANY ..NOT VERY CARING NOR PROFESSIONAL SICK OF BEEN QUIET SO IF U WANT UR LOVED 1S TO BE LOOKED AFTER I WOULD AVOID HALES IF U WANT LYING 2 CONSTANTLY PROMISING THINGS THEY CANT DELIVER

Badly run care group! A handful full of carers really do care as for the rest willing to ram raid my eldery mum, never read instructions that are clearly left, don't even use common sense if regard to the clients needs, as they are in such a rush to get out again! i have made several complaints i the last 12 months especially when the care is so bad. i am going to a higher athority after two whole days of bad care ..as i have cctv so i can know my mum is safe..all i can say it is painful to watch, most carers are deprieving their vulnerable clients of remaining in their homes, instead of a care home..they get paid for literally nothing. If you have full mental health you can tell them what you want doing, but someone with dimentia is very at risk with this company. Its a disgrace things are never dealt with by the office, who are bunch of unprofessionals. I want a different company to care for my mum and that's what i intend doing!

Staff training in general..don't think they've had enough training if any!!

As said on previous comments the manager does not reply to calls and is always in meetings. We had to take our complaint higher before any action was taken. Calls are too quick 60 minute visit done in 30 minutes, 30 minute visit done in 15. Carers often do not turn up or turn up at silly times. Today morning visit at 11.10 lunchtime visit at 11.30. Well done. Reason morning visit was late as Dad didnt answer door at 7.30. They have details to get into house but didnt go in and no call to family to say they didnt get in. Anything could have happened but luckily he is ok. This is just the latest incident. Wont bore you with the rest. Some of the carers are brilliant and some are good. Are other companies any better? It gets better 4.00 pm visit still not there at 5.05 pm will wait and see what time they get there. Visits should be time critical every 4 hoursor his medaction. Its a joke
